Or if you think about it, everything is clone only for the purists. I just wish breeders stated how they made the seeds; not all do or go into much detail.
If there's a specific plant with a specific profile and you make an IBL seed, that seed will have a genetics from the mother and whatever may be in it's history. You can backcross the phenos that smell and look the same or do a lab test for the femmed pollen of the femmed child back to the mother to get closes and closer.
For example to do this:
Clone, STS, femmed pollen, some selfie seeds, etc.
Grow S1s, pick similar phenos Or wait months and pay to do a lab test and compare to the mother clone.
Then STS that, use the femmed pollen to back-cross back to the mother, etc etc.
I'm sure someone will explain that a) this is done already b)this is a stupid waste of time and no one does it.

Your bag seeds are simply a shit load of variable genetics. There are many genes in each Mother and Father and because of this there can never be two of the exact same children. There can be very similar children and there can also be children that express a very close representation of the xj-13 child that everyone wants, but no two childen will ever be exact unless it is cloned. Just how your Mom and Dad can breed 1000 more times and have 1000 more kids but they will never be able to reproduce an identical offspring that is exactly the same as you. You are special and so is each seed, clone, and plant.

as a way to stabilize a pure jack and give it more thc production and oh boy did it ever, bug resistance and pm resistant... if you can get your hands on it it will grow tall, 2-3 times in flower and will form auxiliary tops/branching naturally, with heavy heavy yields and short internode length

I got a tester pack of xj13 as a buy two get one deal from TGA seeds at a local dispensary back from in the day.

interesting... I didn't know this, well then I guess a clone only is rumor then... the cut im speaking of I was told was traced back to Ed but talk is talk

I ran xj for a while and it smelled a lot like blue dream to me. Finished in 9 weeks and yield was good. There is a good chance I could still get that cut. Also have bag seed from it in the freezer
