Yellow and wilting plants

if you grow autos, put the seedling in a 12 oz cup, let that fill with roots, then transplant into a 2-3 gallon pot and leave them there. you might get away with topping them once early on, i wouldn't do much more to them than that. and when you transplant that small plant into the big pot, water lightly right around the plant for about a week to let it get established, then still don't drench it, you just want to see a little water coming out of the bottom, not gallons. after a while you can lift the pot and feel if its light enough to water, but till you figure it out, don't water again till it feels dry when you put your index finger in the dirt to the second knuckle

So if the light cycle doesn't affect autoflowers what triggered these plans to go into flowering???
Auto's will flower from as early as 17 days from seed. The problem you have had is this. In an auto's lifecycle it does certain things and certain times. It's pre set in it's genetics when it flowers. If you have a problem for a week or 2 weeks in veg, the grow is buggered! Growth ceases to continue.

They will not revert back to veg. I know how to grow auto's and would be happy to help you if you started over with a new journal. These bad bitches are day 57 from seed and being harvested tonight.

Don't feel bad about it, you have learned a lot and it will be very valuable knowledge in the future!

I've had to start over a few times. Many growers have.

Order yourself some Sweet Seeds auto's. Either Sweet skunk, Sweet Cheese, fast bud#2 or Sweet afghan delicious. 4 great hardy auto strains which finish very fast.

I would strongly advise using more light. 8 x 23w cfl's. That's about the same size as they would grow for most of us using that lighting.

probably stress. if you don't give them what they need, they go into emergency mode to try to produce offspring
Thus my philosophy to grow regular seeds only. Sure you have to sex the plants and they don't flower automatically. But they reward you with way better.

Hi Fevs
Thank you so much for all the information and for your willingness to help, I'm certainly going to take you up on that offer. So it's pretty much safe to say that these might be a complete goner or should I grow them out and see what I get?

My current light setup is 8 23 watt CFL lights. Since these were autoflowers I actually ran both color temperatures thinking it wouldn't make a difference.

you need to get a better light for flowering. you can flower with cfls, but all the pics i've seen basically they make a kind of coffin, put as many cfls as close to the plant as they can.
t5s would be better, a good led would be great, even a 250 watt hps would do a lot better than cfls.
honestly you'd do better with just the t5s for vegging. more efficient and i believe they have a better spectrum. there are people on here who flower with t5s, but i believe they use different spectrum bulbs in the same fixture, and basically do the same thing as cfls, as many as you can as close as you can

I will help any grower, 7 days a week, for as long as it takes. I have ptsd and really struggled to learn how to grow. Some really nice stoner spent a good while teaching how to grow. Life changing I tell you :-D I have constant weed, plenty of money, a hobby, a skill, a trade too, all in 1 package

I would happily look over a journal 7 days a week. Even help you with drying and curing the buds too. The whole 9 yards!

Anytime you want to do that, let me know.

You lot are bang on, finish these as you need to upgrade lighting before you start another grow.

Don't rule out used lights! That's how many of us start to save money. You can always use your 23w cfl's for starting seeds and maybe a week after.

I think you'll make a decent grower soon enough! Trust me, you have done well with 23w cfl's, so that's why I think you'll have a field day with sufficient lighting.

What size area do you grow in?

Ok good...what I have noticed is that air flowing through the plants and the surface of the soil really makes a difference.

Esp. if they are over watered air circulating helps.
