Yellow/brown spots, 3 weeks of flowering (yes, another one of these!)

Noticed these on some of the large fan leaves sitting in the middle of the canopy. Haven't noticed it anywhere else. Have had other yellowing/leave dying issues earlier in this grow (well documented in my post history/journal entries..).

Anyone know what this could be now? Hope it ain't bugs. The HPS gives the photo a yellowish tint, these spots are very noticeable.

Yeah, so, upon closer inspection, these spots seem to be everywhere. Not very noticeable on the bud leaves, but the fan leaves seem to have tiny spots on most of them. None looking terribly bad, but I don't know if this is a nute thing or (gulp) bugs.

i dunno man, im thinkin some kinda bug? but i assume you dont see any?...i dunno bro, 3 weeks flower, kinda far along to be hittin them with neem or any kinda miticide....but if it must be done, try azamax, its expencive, but seems to work, and is ORMI cert., but, other than that, how ur temps/airflo?

I did a lot of inspecting, no bugs spotted. I have another girl RIGHT next to this one, and she has none of these symptoms so I can only assume it isn't bugs.

From all the research and digging I've done it seems like it could be some kind of nutrient lockout. Am I far off with this assumption?

temps range from 68-79f, averages 74 almost always. Airflo is good, humidity is good (40-55).

Possibility: cal/mag lockout. There is some dolomite lime in the soil and I've been using a bit of calmag in the feedings as well. Too much calmag causing lockout? Flush?

yeah man. Looked everywhere. Like I said, another girl next to this one and she isn't having issues.

I will check again for bugs when lights flip on, though.

So, to recap:

2 days ago I watered heavily (semi-flush?) with 2.5 gallons of distilled. Had a significant run-off, but I'm reading to effectively flush you need to pour in up to double the amount of water (in gallons) as there is soil. Did this because had another issue with dying/yellowing leaves at the bottom.

Last night I watered again because soil moisture reader said she was dry (close to being root-bound, I'm not transplanting again though). Only a gallon, had a small amount of water run-off.

So, when lights switch on tonight I'll inspect and see if it got worse. If I feel it did, I'll immediately flush with like 8 gallons of water (or at least until I see a very clear run-off of water). If it seems the same I'll wait until she is completely dry and then flush (should only take 48-72 hours).

Thoughts, more experienced growers? Any kind of input you guys provide will help me feel better. Thanks :D

I think the likelihood is much greater that you are deal with a deficiency than anything else. But some more pictures of the overall plant would be helpful.

I wouldn't flush them if I were you. Your plants do not look nute burned.

Like I was mentioning earlier, had this yellowing/dying leave issue near the soil. That is why I took these pics. The orange/brown freckles I just noticed last night.

Small spots can also often be a sign of potassium deficiency. What have you been feeding them?

If you have flushed the plants or just given them plain water recently, and the problem has only gotten worse, than I am sure I am correct.

EDIT: What have you been using for nutrients?

Been using Technaflora recipe for success starter kit. It was like 40 bucks on amazon and had good reviews.

I started out very light (when it was 2 weeks old it had its first feeding), only 1/4 recommended dosage first feeding, slowly working to 1/2 then 3/4 then finally 1/1.

Switched to the "bloom" nutrient recipe (according to the Technaflora guide http://www.technaflora.com/recipeforsuccess) about 2 weeks ago. The first week of flower I stuck with the vegging nute recipe because I read things about the plants tending to get a little nitrogen hungry if you don't. They have been flowering for 26 days now.

Soil: FFOF with a few cm of perlite on the bottom of the pot for drainage, with about 1tsp (or was it 1tbspn, I can't remember for the fucking life of me -.-) of dolomite lime per gallon of soil mixed in when I transplanted.

Water, water, feed is the cycle I've been doing. Have a very nice soil moisture meter that allows me to water when the plant needs it only, it seems to be working great so far.

your flush depleted your soil of nutreants spicificly nitrogen causing the yellowing or necrosis of the leafs...i assume your been using a bloom fertalizer...bloom fertalizers lack nitrogen. plants need nitrogen into usuly week 4 or 5 of flowing in my opinion. mix your bloom and veg fertalizer at half strenth of each for a few weeks. you dont want to do the heavy flush untill two weeks before harvest rather do light flushes were u pour water in just untill you have a lil water running out of the bottem of the holes in your pots if you insist on flushing prior to the two weeks before harvest time. this is a good idea if your a nan organic grower to get some of the salt build up out of your soil.. anyhow if your yellowing plant doesnt pull threw in a couple weeks tthen you may as well toss it out.. theres a slight chance the root system is damaged.. i realy hope thats not the case here but who knows. good luck my friend.

Sounds good, and you have figured out already the danger of using a schedule. You are indeed correct that plants often consume great amounts of nitrogen into flower, even 4 to 5 weeks as also mentioned. Definitely through the first three weeks of 12/12 until the stretch is finished.

I think you know what you did wrong now. Water, water, feed is what I do too. If I were you, however, I would switch to feeding every other watering for now. Add some nitrogen into what you're giving them so it's more balanced as has also been mentioned.

So you think it is a lack of nutes? And if I'm using these technaflora products, which do I add for nitrogen? Brb.. research time..

As for what I did wrong, I'm not sure yet :(
