she should be OK
i agree go back to the cfls until she has a couple sets of leaves before you fire up the mh
when they are young they just can't take the strong light

It's not the light (I don't think) unless the leaves were "green" and then changed to yellow from bleaching intensity of the light. Still, that's hard to do. Remember that seedlings can totally thrive under a hot sun all day, so unless that MH was jacked down onto the little plant... I just don't see that as being the problem. How far away is the light?

My guess points at the soil. I'm wondering which Fox Farms soil you sprouted in. I've heard people have problems going straight into Ocean Forest, but I've not experienced this problem, except once, and the little gal didn't make it. Could be strain dependent. .

Hey dust with all seedlings less is best. Thats true for light as well. I always say think of marijuana growing naturally when a seed sprouts it has usally a lot of other vegetation around it so its important for those sprouts to thrive in low light conditions as the bigger more mature plants will shade them out. Now think about the difference between leaving an adult in a car in summer with the windows up compared to a baby. Those seedlings are not ready to handle the direct blast from that MH. I would recommend putting them back to the cfl 6500k preferably and put a fan on them help there stem and keep them cool if in confined area. I usally dont start any nutes untill my cotyledons shrivle off usally around third or forth set of real leaves. Hope some of this helps best of luck!

just a little cliff note Pax makes a great point on the fertilizer. I just wanted to add make sure your CFLs are no more then 4 in away from tops to prevent stretching.
