yellow cotyledons

Can anyone think of a deficiency/problem with plants that would cause yellowing to start at the cotyledon leaves? I'll get picks up as soon as in get back to them.

Depends on when they're yellowing... how many true leaf sets do you have?

OK, yeah I've been wondering what the definition of "true leave" and "first true node" are; at first I thought the first true node was the one above the cotyledons, but I'm noticing the leaves don't have 7 fingers until like the third or fourth node up.

Its just now working on the 3rd node (after the cotyledons), and they're the first two leaves I've seen with all seven fingers. The layer below it has 5, below that one there are 3 fingers on each leave, and then the ones on the bottom/same level as cotyledons.

I've been going heavier with nutes lately and she's still a small girl, so I flushed last night and she got a little droopy from over-watering (from the flush) but she seems to be picking back up today.

That looks completely normal, nice healthy plant you've got there. Good luck.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback guys. I spend all this time doing research and then get spoiled on these forums having you guys (and your experience) do the work for me.

I just recently (night before last) kicked my nutes up to full strength for one feeding to see how she would handle it. This plant is bagseed, and now that my good seeds have germinated and are in soil Im gonna start stressing this plant more and more to try and see what the threshold is for my setup.

I did however, flush pretty well the morning after feeding when I saw the cotyledon turning a little yellow so she might not have had time to even get nute burn. I'm probably gonna water one more time tonight and then try feeding again the next time I water after that.

I'm also really battling heat right now; at night it cools down to around 70 but in the daytime,e it stays around 85-88°, and yesterday I came home and the temp was 94° f under the hood.

I'm going out to buy a window air conditioner later today and hopefully I can bring the rooms temperatures down enough to where I don't have to worry about it. Once Ive got temperature under control, fresh air/ventilation will be the only thing I really need to work on.

Nute burn tends to show on new growth matey. If you could get 75 day and 70 night that's some good temps. So far so good man, keep it up

Brother, it didn't take me long to learn that-- at first I was over watering and stunting growth, and today I was moving a leaf so I could look at some raw spots, and I broke a finger off of one of the newest leaves lesson learned, I guess.

Anyways, the new spots aren't on new growth, so I'm thinking its a mix of having my light a little too close plus the high temps. I should have an air conditioner in that room by tonight, so hopefully i can get this temperature thing under control.

But every time I leave her alone, she explodes with growth. What do ya think, burn from lights? The spots aren't even really a different color, basically just the outermost membrane on the leaf is degrading in spots.
