Yellow crisp leaves?

Hello green fingers buddies hope all well and sound, I have my Girl Scout cookies acting a little strange she’s only 4 weeks old ran into some problem early weeks and had to repot her that’s when all green leaves came out nice and bright but now noticing the lower set of leaves drying out and turning yellow and crisp anyone know what’s going on here? As you can see the upcoming leaves are looking healthy just the bottom ones C05902C6-EAA9-48A9-BAD6-B1D64C711CA8.jpegCFAB2C64-0C31-4F32-93CB-428E16976BDC.jpegF717660B-E214-497D-B85A-89C2795634B6.jpegED0870D0-186C-4BB4-BD3B-1A337172FF18.jpeg

Bottom ones will die off. Looks like they are gonna need nitrogen soon. I pot into their final home soon. Nutrients in new soil will help. And then you will need to feed nutes soon. Not sure of the soil you are using though.

Thank you for your reply’s yeah I will transplant soonish like another week, What’s your thoughts on compost tea I’ve had decent results before oh and btw I think it may have been a humidity issue as it was high as 70 at some points but now controlled it between 45 and 57 which I think they act best under these conditions bare in mind these girls are all different so I will definitely keep you guys posted thanks again pals

Interesting point I had them in coco before this and there was a few issues thought I’d repot them in this potting soil I had as they were almost gone mate like all yellow and droopy I thought they’d be dead for sure but seems to have come back strong just the bottom leaves are upset

Coco you need nutrients cause there is none. With soil you get some nutrients from the soil but eventually the plant uses it all up. When’s the last time you gave them nitrogen? I don’t grow in coco. Always soil for me

I tried 3 seeds before in equal part coco/perlite/ewc… watering with recharge and emulsions and they ended up looking similar to yours. After 3 weeks of slow, weak growth, I planted a new and it's surpassed the others by leaps and bounds. This time I used a slightly lower EWC ratio and added oyster shell flour to the mix. Huge difference.

Here she is at 5 weeks from seed. She still has her cotyledons and is growing fast.

Well done she looks amazing, I’ll definitely keep that in mind when I transplant these ladies in their new home, got a little super mix prepared for them fingers crossed they’ll branch out nicely

I don't ph my water. I haven't found a need to do so with soil/soilless. And yes, coco needs nutes… even seedlings. I would water with some compost/ewc tea with fish emulsions added at the end. Start off at 1tsp/gal of emulsions and see how they respond.

I was thinking compost tea too funny you mentioned it, I used a good one before with worm castings ,molasses, compost and seaweed liquid works magic this time round I will try the fish emulsion thank you so much I will keep you posted

I’ve never grown in coco so I don’t know the best nutes. All is coco needs it from the get going and it’s not like soil.

Some things I've picked up over the years...

6.7 is too high in coco. 5.8-6.0, is about where you want to be.
Feed with every watering. Water often but don't over water (there is a balance), almost like soil but not. You'll learn.
Lack of calcium or magnesium seem to be issues commonly seen in coco.
Flush to remove salts every few weeks.

I use general hydroponics grow and bloom.

Yeah it was the first time I used coco had to take them out shake the coco off and repot them in soil that worked but it is a little tricky in coco

For potting soil I usually water and feed from 6.4-6.6 in PH. Have you given veg nutes yet?
