Yellow liquid filled balls in coco coir

Hey, just started washing some coco and noticed some yellow balls in the media that squirt liquid when squeezed. Some type of fertilizer?
I ran this brand of coco last grow and there wasn’t any balls in it that time, I may have just missed it I’m not sure.
Anyone know what they would be? The bag states it’s enriched with calmag, so maybe it’s that? Either way I don’t want it to fuck up my nutrient balance so what do I do? Lol

Well, considering the name Pinegro and it's a coco peat (assuming pine bark too) it is probably pine sap.

This isn't gospel, it's an educated guess.
Well shit, how’s pine sap going to affect the plants? Should I just go grab some different stuff that I can rehydrate?

I do not know for sure but pine sap itself has limonene and terpinolene which attribute to grapefruit and wood/lemon flavors respectively. It also has natural anti bacterial properties. I don't think pine sap would be a bad thing for plants, outdoor we formerly grew in pine groves for the extra warmth them create

I grow in coco, but on auto feeds. I am not sure the point of the pine sap. A carb/sugar? Does the manufacturer say anything about it?

Pine bark is known to lower ph and break down into sugars I put some in my vegtable garden compost but sparingly.

i checked the bag all over and there’s no info on there, neither in the description online. I went and bought some different stuff but from the sounds on the reply before yours, I kind of want to use the one with the balls in it lol

Just wondering if it’ll throw off anything since it’ll be a coco perlite hydro grow? Sounds like it might not be too bad

From what I know coco perlite mixture is pretty forgiving compared to soil, do you have a TDS meter? You could run come clean water through and test what the runoff is like with and without some of those odd bits, I'd be curious myself and probably grow some with and some without and monitor the difference? We are pretty curious growers, and since weed is very versatile and fairly strong, I'd be willing to try. We are growing in coco perlite 65/35 mix right now in a 6x6 room .
Come to think of it, could it be balls of the fibre of the coco coir? It's made up of coconut shells coir, the inner layer of fibres, some of mine rehydrated into almost hair balls of the fibre I had to soak and mix it a few times until I was happy with the even texture and no hairballs

Hey, I was just thinking I might run just a couple of my plants in it and see the difference. Think I’ll try this next grow just because I have 6 different plants this time and the test would be unfair. I would like to try it on some clones off of the same mother to test the difference it taste/appearance etc.
Think I’ll just run my normal stuff for this grow.
