Just give the plants PH'd water for a few days and then start the nutes back up. My recommendation is to use the whole 3 part flora series, no reason to leave the gro out, it provides a lot of macro nutes with almost no micros, it is a important part of the formula. With lucas u are using the micro exclusively to provide N and it is giving you way to much of the micro nutrients which may be locking out N, not your ph. This is just my guess, or your PH pen is broken.

Looks like cal mag is needed, I've seen this before in my own DWC. Even though some of the nute companies say it does it all I found that was not always the case, at least with dynagro and GH.

I agree Frosty, I added some CalMag 2 days ago so hopefully that will help with it. I dont have very high hopes on this grow, but maybe she'll recover.

cant see cal/mg helping as what u are feeding them is very high in both cal/mg....the micro you are feeding is like 5% ca and 3% mg (guessing) which is a lot considering how high of a ratio the lucas formula is.

not sure what i said that botherd you, only trying to help. Your issue is EITHER PH (your ph meter is broken) OR you have a salt buildup from feeding a shitty formula that provides far too many micro nutrients. I feel like you dont understand what i am trying to explain to you. If you feed too many micro's like ca/mg/mn that the plant does not need, as the lucas formula very easily can, then you end up locking out your plant from vital macro nutrients, in your case nitrogen.

Dude he is using RO water which makes CaMg a necessity thats why GH makes a supplement.

Your problem is you are GUESSING no one else here is guessing, his formula has 5% Ca in the micro and 1.5% Mg in the bloom, not good ratios, thus the problem. He could buy Mag amp from Cutting Edge Solutions also instead of just calmg but harder to find. The 600w light is burning the plant from being so bright that close to the canopy so its not really a heat issue thus the non-curling leaves.

You need to take a minute and read the label on your products. He is using the lucas formula, which uses more micro and bloom and no gro. This ammounts to a feeding that has high ammounts of the micro at 5% calcium and even higher doses of bloom at 3% magnesium. Most cal-mg products are like 5% ca 1.5% mg. The simple fact is that adding more Ca/Mg is not going to help, he is already feeding TOO MUCH ca/mg. Unless he is growing in a substrate that leeches ca/mg (coco) which he ISNT there is no way in fuck his plants need more Ca/Mg than lucas provides.

i was only guessing as i didnt want to go look at the bottles. I have used the lucas formua and had problems with lockout, because its ratio of micro/macro nutrients is too high. You are misinformed. Light burn doesn't make every leaf on the plant have the same issue, it would be concentrated where the heat was, closest to the light. .And GH makes a ca/mg because they don't intend people to use a formula that doesn't use one of there components!!! Also for coco users.

I really do appreciate advice, but its just when I get contradicting advice from the same person its really misleading.

I have heard of light burn/bleach that isnt heat related. This could be a viable diagnoses for the lighter green leaves because only the leaves in the center (directly under the light) are turning light green/yellow.

Obviously there are other things wrong other than just the yellow leaves.

So i dunno.. could be N def, could be N lockout, could be light bleaching, could be CalMag def... whatever it is, im addressing all these factors.

You literally flabbergast me. Look at the grow label please it has nothing in it but npk and .5% mg so what is it we are missing by not using it? GH calls for micro and bloom in flowering so......? What recipe using RO water does not call for added CaMg? None that I have known in 19 years in the business. Having a light too close to a plant can burn it from lumens not heat, example, gavita lights can burn a plant at 24" away. Noxide said it is localized in the center of the light.

Also the Lucas formula has been proven time and time again, from literally hundreds of successful grows, so telling Noxide that the formula is wrong is pretty irresponsible. The fact that it didn't work for you is likely because of something specific to your grow. I know we are all here to help but let's not argue the facts of the case.

What exactly are the micro/macro ratio issues you are referring to? And let's not guess but be specific please. I see nothing in the grow bottle that would change anything. All of the micro nutes are you guessed it in the micro bottle, so I'm really confused about what role the grow would play. Also I have spoken w GH's product reps directly on many occasions as I owned a grow store for years, I am not "misinformed."

Myself and many other have had issues with the Lucas formula. It is cheap and easy, but that is about all i can say for it. And u are crazy if you dont think that plant has a nitrogen problem. The necrosis in that picture is from the leaf dying not a Mg deficiency.

To the OP. Are you using Gh's FloraBloom or MaxiBloom with the Micro? Might be mentioned earlier and I missed it. I would not use the Lucas Formula with the FloraBloom. The MaxiBloom however, has plenty of Ca, Mg and S. FloraBloom has only a little of Mg and S and no Ca. MaxiBloom plus Micro for N and micronutrients, obviously.

I'll take a good look at them tomorrow and take some pics. Quick glance today looks like the center of the plant is still yellow, but the outer parts are looking pretty healthy. I'll update tomorrow evening
