Yellowing from the bottom up.

Week three into flower. 3 wedding cake and 3 wedding crashers. 1000w hps. Temps between 70-80 deg day or night. The soils shit thought. I didn't add perlite its viagro and it's got 9 months worth of feed in in. I know it's probably no good. But I'm having problems with the tops of the buckets drying and the bottoms staying wet. I water till runoff every third water. I try to water only 3 times a week. Water ph is roughly 6.5. Should I ph my water before I add it to the soil? I dont have a digital tester or a soil tester. But the three wedding cakes are struggling tough and yellowing bad 2 I'm not sure are going to make it the third is doing well but is definetly showing signs of some sort of deficiency. The 3 wedding crashers are doing great except one is no just starting to turn from green to yellow. I add epsom salt, super thrive, molases and calcium every third water when flushed. Please help me through this grow.

First stop watering by schedule and learn to determine dryness by weight.

Next nitrogen is the most quickly depleted nutrient. Give it Cal Mag for the calcium it’s going to need and the nitrogen it already does. Or a good watering with compost tea.

The top couple inches will be dry and I will have to apply a quart of water every other day no matter what. then I do a gallon each, every third water. It's not a schedule. I'm praying everyday for the buckets to be dry but they havnt been totally dry once since transplant. The top dries and the bottom wont, thats what's choking them I think.

drill some holes in the sides of the pots and try to aerate i run a fan at ground level to dry out the bottoms but it looks like next time you will realize one you put them in their final home the soil and enviroment should be just right before flipping good luck i am sure your next run will be great try some blood meal

sure they are very resillient i bought a hand air pump for mattresses and pumped air in the hole i drilled i had the same issue in 7 gallon pots well the water and gunk ran out now they drain good with that floor fan added

think outside the box that soggy bottom is going to fester and mold quick you need drainage

I got the floor fan. I'm looking for a big enough drill bit

I just drilled a million little holes all over the bottom halves of all 6 buckets. Has anybody every seen this help with soil drying faster. Thanks all

Dude you need to take pics under better light so we can actually see the plant color. Anyhow it’s a classic and beautiful nitrogen deficiency. Why don’t you go ahead and flush it, toss it out in the cold for the night and then kick the pot a few times after bringing it back in. That ought to fix it real nicely

I know it's hard under the HPS, it messes up my phone camera. But why would I take it outside? Also what do you mean by kicking the bucket a couple times? Thanks

Beat it into submission. Ya know..sometimes you need to manhandle these little fucks to get em on the right path. I’d also throw a handful of baby powder on the plant and then slap it a few times. One regular open hander for nitrogen deficiency and then 2 back handers to encourage branching. Don’t forget the baby powder. You’ll thank me later

Want some purple like this? Get you a ladder or stool so you can squat over your plant and take a shit on it. The key to this is for the turd to be firm and to make contact with atleast 6 leaves on the way down. Do it right and it’s purp city.

It works a little bit,especially with a fan on the ground.i used the largest drill bit i had cant remember size now.still had brown roots at harvest and the harvest was like 0.5gxW a little low,good quality still...i learned with time to put the right pressure when putting soil into the container,and of course using the right soil mix...

On a serious note..you don’t look overwatered even though bottom is staying wet. That’s good. You say not much drainage in soil so going to runoff really isn’t necessary. Those pots are decent enough size for those plants. I’d water less amount next time and keep it consistent. No need to flush either. With 9 months feed in soil it’s weird you’d see nitrogen deficiency without the plant appearing to be in sogged soil which can lock into out. Might just not be enough nitrogen. Who knows how much is actually in cheap bag like that. Let it dry out properly before watering next. Did this start after the stretch? You didn’ have this issue before in same soil? Just now in flower? The stretch really chews through nitrogen like no other. Ph’ing Water when in soil is pointless as soil has buffers with lime being very common One. The water will adjust to soil ph. It won’t change soil ph unless it’s extremely high or low ph water being used over a longer period of time

Just after the stretch, I've never used this soil before, they have been flowering for 3 weeks now.
