Yellowing leaves and I can't figure out why, 8 weeks flowering

Hey guys, I'm having some trouble.

This girl is getting Hesi Bloom Complex, Hesi Phosphorus Plus and Supervit. It is being fed as the schedule says, so full dosage on all of them. Water is pH6.5.

But the fan leaves are getting yellow as you can see and I can't figure out why.

Any ideas? Would be appreciated :)

Perfectly normal. The plant is using the nutes to promote flowering / buds. If anything, it might be a slight nitrogen deficiency but that is normal because of flowering. It's better to have big buds and yellow fan leaves than perfect green fan leaves and tiny buds.

*Edit* I am in flowering too, and if the leaves get too yellow, I usually just tug them. If they fall off, then they were of little use to the plant anymore anyway.

id give it no water no lights for 2 days and drop the temp as much as possible. then chop her down. oh and next time i would cut off everything on the bottom 6 inches or so of the stalk

You sure it's time for him to harvest?

Not sure doesnt look like too many red hairs on her. kind of assuming it was an 8 week plant, but thats what i would do at the end!!

I appreciate your replies however I do think it's too early to start flushing. And someone on RIU told me about "sucker branches" so I chopped some of them off, should I have chopped even more?

I also added a closeup picture, maybe it's easier to see if its time to flush or not. It's a NYC Diesel. I just googled it and most sites say 10 week flowering.

I would keep a close eye on it if it's not fully ready. You still want to wait as long as you can if it's not done yet. If anything get it just before any yellowing gets into the buds, you will know what you do and don't want your buds to look like. The yellowing on the top half to me looks more like natural colouring that some strains do, but the bottom looks like late flower yellowing. Could just be the light on the pic. What is the strain and what is the aproxx flower time of it?

that looks a pretty close to being done, maybe 10 days. but the leaves really look like the plant should be done sooner. I would look at the trichomes if you could. Nice job trimming the bottom. I would start flushing now. Pinch off a leaf and taste the water in the stem. It should taste like pure water, not bitter when properly flushed. Do you have any bugs? Gnats?

capncash, is it normal that plants finish up in 8 weeks when they're "supposed" to flower for 10 weeks? Anyways, I have another picture for you (and everyone else). I put it on imageshack so you can see it in full detail.

I haven't seen any bugs at all, phew :) But tomorrow I'll get my 30x magnifying thing and watch the trichomes. And speaking of, there are very few trichomes on this plant. Compared to the C99 plants I just chopped.

The plant starts to "eat" it own leaves for sources of sugar.

The yellowing is perfectly normal.

You should be proud you have made it all the way here and have a beautiful plant to show for your hard work....

congrats. +rep
