Hi,

In a 6th week flowering, my Sativa started yellowing upper leaves (mostly the small ones on the top). Anybody knows the possible cause?

My set: HPS 400W, NPK: 4,5,8, temp. 28C day, 20C night, watering 2x a week

also, maybe it is a good time to harvest them?

thanks for your help!

back off the feed a little, BUT it is perfectly normal for plants to do this in the last couple of weeks, the buds are feeding off the leaves which are full of sugar that the plants need, you should start flushing for the next 2 weeks to get rid of any toxins that are stored, if this plant as a 8 week finish time start flushing now, hope this helps.

Thanks for a quick help! Looks like my problem is no problem at all :)
I will start flushing tomorrow. That strain should flower in 55 - 65 days so it's about time.

I'm also little worried about cristal trichs that i see all over the plant by a 30x scope.
There are 60% cristal / 40% milky and no amber at all. Orange pistons started showing this week but right now there are only few.

Do you think 2 weeks more is enough time to finish the plant properly? Looking for a energetic high :)

What is the strain? 55 to 65 days is an 8 week to slightly longer than 9.25 weeks strain ... that's not very sativa-like in flowering time and your leaves are not very sativa looking. If it's more than 60% sativa I would be surprised.

You said you are looking for an energetic high ... well then harvest when most of the trichomes are milky/cloudy and maybe a few clear but stay the heck away from amber or else you will end up with more of a couch-lock body stone with an 8 to 9.25 week strain.

Looks beginning stages of Cal or Zinc def.. What ph are you feeding with?
I'd harvest when they're done. And they're not close yet. I would go another 4 weeks.
Also what does NPK 4,5,8 mean? If what I think cut the 4 to 0

Like the last post said. flush the plant, if in soil 3x the med.=3 gal. soil= 9 gal. water. do this two to three times between week 6 and 8 of flowering. PS. those plants are not even close to harvest, i'd say 2 to 3 more weeks, when you think their ready, wait another 4 to 5 days then harvest. hope this helped.

i would say leave it to flower for at least two more weeks. the last week or so of its normal flowering cycle your buds will swell yielding more, but if you dont want to get blitz then flush them for a week then harvest. nice plants by the way makes me wana play peek-a-boo in my grow box...

The strain is Daddy's Girl from Kiwiseeds. It is 80% Sativa/20% Indica hybrid originated from South Africa. There are some misleading numbers concerning flowering times on different seedshops websites and also on the seed package(50-60, 55-65, 65-75, etc.).

it shouldnt be cut to 0 but it should be brought down. a good bloom bute is around 1-3-2 and even the ripening nutes (used after blom nutes) have N, mine is 1-5-4
