After reading many post about it, just to be sure... Can i cut a clone near the mother trunk?

I've never had an air bubble,

Just cut and make sure you put it right in your cloning gel or back into the cup of water. Don't let it sit around and you shouldn't have to worry about it

Well, its been 12days since i take the cutting and placed them directly in Jiffy pellet with Stim-Root, under CFL's...
No sign of root, and they started yellowing... Should i start with new one?

There is a heat pad underneath the tray keeping it at 20-21celciul (69.8Fahrenheit), the light is (2x) 23watt 6500k CFL at 12inch..

I have a DIY ballast with 12x 23watt, delivering 276watt of 6500K CFL that im using to veg, should i use it on my clone? Im worried about cooking them with too much light...
