men lie, women lie, numbers dont... this is jus a theory, i fully encourage experienced growers to offer their 2 cents. there are a lot of variables that can come into play with this theory like # of watts, pot size, strain, medium, and overall growing conditions.
most strain descripts give yield expectations in m2 (meters squared), i.e 500 grams per m2. a m2 is simply [meter x meter]. its safe to say that ur average plant wont grow a meter wide, but its perfectly normal for ur plant to grow 100cm+, or 1m+, in height. its also safe to assume ur plant will grow 1/2m in width, or 19.5 inches.
now that we hav our feasible assumptions, lets get to the math. 1m = 39in, so a m2 = 1521in. <(39 x 39) .. 1521in is our constant, our variable is the hieght and width of our plant. my guestimate of ur average plant measurements is as follows: 1m x 1/2m, or 39in x 19.5in, which is 760.5in. .. now we set up a proportion: if 1521in yields 500g then 760.5in yields ?g - or (1521/500 = 760.5/x). now u cross multiply and u get 1521x = 380250. divide both sides by 1521, and u get x = 250, or 250 grams from a plant thats 1m x 1/2m. thats a lil over a half of pound per plant lol
