yield of 5 plants

I'm thinking of starting a grow which only has 5 plants in a 6.5 X 6.5 X 6.5 grow tent

I will be using 4 600 watt lights

what should i do to achieve maximum yield? how much yield can i get

i will be growing purple kush or trainwreck

would i be limiting my yield greatly by only growing 5 plants?

Everybody always wants to know how much they can expect to get. Considering this is your first grow, you will probably be lucky if any survive. Just letting you know the facts. There are sooooo many variables and then there is Mr. Murphy (Murphy's law) that most often visits your grow, bringing your plants some new friends like spider mites, fungus gnats or powdery mildew. Sometimes he's late to the party and brings mold to your curing bud. Sometimes somebody steals your plants or a deer eats them. Damn, I hate sounding so pessimistic but it's for real; you can't count your doobies before you have them done.

I grow 6 plants under a single 600w, in an ebb & flo setup... under each 600w in xxxl fixture I grow 8-10 plants in soil (3gal containers)

your yield will depend on, strain, nutes, veg time, experience and any training you do to the plants. in real terms you should yield anywhere from .25g-1g per watt. Now I will ell you putting 4 600w lights for 4-5 plants will not yield you the per watt amount, its just way too much over kill.

4 600 watt lghts for four plants is big time over kill one 600 w will do 4 plants since most 600 w are rated for 10 plants
this is a garbage statement...... indoors your plant can only get as big as its limiting factor. meaning no matter how much nutes you pump it with, it wont use them because your limited by how much light it recieves. and vice versus. your not overkilling it at all as long as your temp stays down. you could probly fit more than five depending on how much space you have. right now im running 6 per 1000w and id like to add another 500 watts or more.

So how was what he said contradictory to what you just posted? You said you're running 6 per 1,000w; he said 4 per 600w. I don't take kindly to trolls here so choose your words better next time.

he said hes running 6.5x6.5x6.5, also, different nutes are for different things, just because a plant stopped growing up doesn't mean the plant won't use nutes, thats garbage. that being said, its hard to overkill on light since we are ideally trying to replicate the sun. however in that space, id be a lil worried that 4x600w will simply be too much heat. but i wish you the best!

Good Luck!

To clarify limiting factors - I like this term - it is a great way of explaining some of the science behind the scenes. 4 x 600 Hps over 5 plants would increase your yield of course but this is dependant on your limiting factors. Co2 replacement, big enough pots, optimal temps and pH amongst other things will all have an affect on how they grow - get your other environmental factors right and they will use as much light as you can give them.

Its sad but potpimp is right there are loads of variables to consider but dont see it as all negative, put the effort in and you should have a good experience that reaps rewards.

u have the means to vegg them for 3 months. turn them into m0nsters then flower them. 2lbs easy even if u cant grow for shit. lol.

if your room is only that tall, doesn't sound like it would be too wide or long either. do you think you would have enough room to effictively illuminate 8 plants scrogged? perhaps you should top/fim. btw, maybe you should have posted this question in your own thread.
