Yield vs Height: is there an equation?

I was wondering if anyone knew "ruffly" what the equation is for yield on a across the board Indica.I am trying to weight out the pro's and con's of growing taller vs growing more plants.

Not sure if that really makes sense, so here let me try it this way:
This is in my experience (this is actually dried weight, and final height prior to harvest):

1. 2 foot Indica will yield appx 1 zip
2. 3 foot Indica will yield appx 1.5 zip
3. 4 foot Indica will yield??????
4. 5 foot Indica will yield??????

What have you guys experienced? Lets put something together to better help myself and all other new growers!

I know this will vary with lights and co2so I will set some parameters:

400 HPS
No co2
Yes Topping/Super-cropping/Lst

I think there are way to many variables to come up with a standard grow equations but with enough documentation it might be possible. Hope this takes off and a formula could be written but I'm not optomistic

Bm,

Excellent question....

Which yields more -

Ten 12" tall plants

or

One 10' tall plant.

Growing indoor I think it might be the Ten 12" tall plants. With the 10' tall plant, no lumens are getting to the lower branches.

Good question.

See thats what I thought, but lately there have been some big plants growing and there seems to be more potential with less work

I wouldn't take too many variables into an equation like this. You would probably use as few variables as the lumens, plant height and bud sites. It would take too long and be very impossible to take something too deep. But something very rough could be made.

I agree. I may have been putting to many variables into this equation. So does anyone have any experiances to chip in? That way we can start collecting data
