July 29, 2017. 2 months of revegging...

She's a bit thirsty in this shot. A mate says I need to thin the canopy. I'm just not sure what to cut and what to keep. I get that we want airflow through the canopy. Just that I really don't want to be chopping off too many potential bud sites.

I mean. I'm already in a limited space as it is. And I really would like to improve on my yields this round. Ideally- I'd love to fill a 400g Moccona coffee jar.

I'm so tempted to flip her over to flower cycle when I see how much space she's filling. I'm not sure I even want to wait another couple weeks. 20170728_205412.jpg

Hey just curious as to how far away your cobs are from your tops? Have you experienced any bleaching? I really never considered cobs because from what I hear they bleach tops when closer than a foot and a half

I have a couple burple UFO LED lights but I really wasn't impressed with my harvest. I guess there are other factors but I blame the lights for the wispiness. Then again maybe they were shitty seeds. The taste and smell was probably the worst

My cobs are running 70% output about a foot from the canopy.
I haven't seen any bleaching. Well. That I've noticed.

And yeah. Old/budget led tech sucks. Despite LEDs being directional lights. They can't quite throw photons as deep into the canopy as hps,mh,cmh, etc.

Even a hid light can bleach plants. Having too much light and/ or too close a light will do it.

I did not know that about HID lights, what kit do use/recommend. Yeah the grow in my signature had my tops like 4-6 inches away from the tops and still the tops weren't great quality. It almost made me not want to grow, because I was like, this is it? Alas here I am though, the love doesn't ever go away.

Mine is something I pieced together from parts at cutter electronics. I chose the Gen 7 Vero 29C cobs for their high lumen output. Now, I know lumens dont really mean much to plants. But I figured higher lumen output means more photon density in a way.

I was actually impressed with the outcome of my last run. I think I cut it very near it's peak potency.

Wasn't the most stoned I'd ever been. But, it was really good.

Hey dude what website would you recommend to source all the parts and build it yourself? I was on Timber LED's and fuck they're expensive. I'm wondering if I can source the parts and build it myself cheap than 220. I'm going to have a one plant grow specs will be around 30"x18"60" and that 220 model is just a little bit too much for me. If I could afford I would get it, but that'll set me back 3months.

Or is that the price I gotta pay?

I think Timber actually supplies you all the parts which includes a predrilled frame. With mine I had to pick my parts because all the kits were either a bit old or too large. And I had to build my own frame.

www.cutter.com.au is where I went.
www.digikey.com.au is another place I was considering getting parts from, if you can navigate it. Can't think of any others tbh.

A light similar to mine will supply you about what you need.

Hows the bush lookin Nugs, have u flipped yet?

edit..sorry just noticed the last pic was only a few days ago. Seems longer.

@whitebb2727 I've decided to go with a cloner. And stick 6 into it. 3 are older cuts. 3 are from today (4th august).

I noticed today she was a bit droopy. Discovered the bucket was fairly dry. Couple hours later she was perky again.

I put the mesh back on to see where things were. There's definitely been some growth since last time.

I'm still not sure about the scrog.

Here's my clones today. They don't seem to be dying so far. One looks a bit worse than the others. But that's better than before. They've been in there for a couple days now. Some are over a week from the water only method. Gave up on that because the jar kept falling over. So here I am with a clone dome. Powered by a space bucket. 20170808_175457.jpg

@whitebb2727 how do those clones look to you?

@DankTankerous & @WaxertheRadical

Found my lights to still be on at 2pm today. They're supposed to be off at 9 am. Checked the timer. Non functional... Great.

Heat didn't seem to be an issue in there though. Only had the two circulation fans going. Read 22°c. Cobs weren't even warm. This is supposed to be day 9 of flowering.

In other news. I'll be able to order in a proper fan- And filter, if I choose. There's a kit out there that has a cetrifugal fan. With speed controller and a filter. All at a price I can handle. Might hunt for some better timers too. Suggestions welcome.

Have you gotten your light cycle back in order yet?
One day of prolonged light shouldn't cause them to flip back to veg. At day 9 of flower, the hormones should still be adjusting to the flip to flower so you should be good. I would account for a few extra days at the end of flower though, seeing as all that light hiccup should do is extended the hormone adjustment period.

I recommend any sort of outdoor 10amp timer. I don't have any particular brands for you off the top of my head but I would assume there's a good one to be had at your local hardware store. Also. I would get an extra because...life. Lol

Clones are looking good man. From what I've read you could have probably cut off a bit more leafage to limit photosynthesis and upward growth but there's more than one way to skin a cat. I also have not in tried this in practice so someone else should probably chime in.:dunce:
