Your medium might be like mine where it retains more water, and can take 5-7 days to dry for a young plant. What are you using?About every third day.
the fridge looks good, i look forward to that build.
thinking of doing the same
I really like the metal wast bin for planting them in. I bet its good for airrating the roots and water run-off. I just did a fridge build. Challanging to get the heat out and stay stealthy. I gutted every thing and reused the fans that cooled the sealed unit and the small fan that cools the bottom half of the cooler, to circulate the aire from the bottom up. I still had to cut port holes in the top though . With a 600watt hps it was around 93°f so i ported the top and re routted the fan to suck air in from the outside through a square knock out i cut and then installed the foam box i prebuilt to accept a 3inch dryer hose to go between the box and blower fan. fan and with the cooler weather rightnow its about 70 ish. So the plants like it. Something else I noticed, the walls inside are very reflective. I put some reflective foam in there inadition ti a 19 watt full spec cool spec duel led fixture for some extra color spec coverage. but i still want to put some cree led kits instead of the hps. I would need less fans. This is from last night's feed. pH 6.
Looks good going well the waste basket is a great idea, see if it fits into a 9 ltr laundry bucket it will catch the mess an make it easier to feed water using the dunk an drain methodit is looking great just let it grow you have it sorted look but dont touch dont look at it for 24 hrs if you can resist their time is not that far awayI have managed to not look for 48 hrs I just ignore their calls an get a surprise when I open cabinet, happy gardening17/11/16... just a qick pic. Not sure if it's getting better or not. Still looks a bit yellow. I'll give it another round of low pH feed when its drier.
Those bins are good for drainage. However, they're also good for making a mess.
My main issues are being inexperienced. And having water that's highly alkaline. I'm forever trying to get the pH leveled.
Good fans... I can't stress enough the importance of good airflow and exchange. Even with only 90w of decent led lighting. My cabinet will hit 28°c on a 20°c day. But that's largely due to having crappy pc fans for air exchange.
Mine isn't in a fridge just yet. But, it's indoors. 80cm height by 40cm by 40cm width and depth. No smell just yet. But it's only just been flipped to flowering a few days ago.
I'll upload photos of the plants progress tonight.
