you always hear about light, but what about dark

I was wondering about this as well because in nature they would be getting moonlight at night which isn't much admittedly but most people say that even the slightest amount of light during your dark phase can be terrible for your plants.

I would say no more than what they would get outside under a full moon. Not sure how many lumens that would be. Kinda interesting though.

OK, from what i can find. The full moon puts out around .03 lumens per square foot. That is not much at all. And i can see a few small light leaks will be higher than that. I would just try to keep it completely dark while the lights are off and you should be fine. Also, hermies can be caused be numerous things. Not just gettting light while the main light is off.

Go with the pro's.

They say seal light leaks (as well you should since they are also a security breach).

Use foam door gaskets, tarps on wire, whatever you have too. Your already pushing Mother Natures envelope by growing inside. You have to keep as much consistant with "Mom" as you can. That means no light at beddy by time!
