You don't get off till you cough!!..

uh, i dunno if anyone actually answered the question, but coughing does get you higher because it opens up capillaries in your lungs that aren't normally accessible with normal breathing. now that you have more surface area in ur lungs to absorb thc, more stoney. add to this that stopping coughing closes the lungs back up, trapping the smoke in those little pockets of lung, allowing nearly full absorbtion of thc (smoke normally gives you 5-10%).

this is according to a real world doctor, not the internet or my desires, lol.

and yes the head rush would be O2 depravation, but the stronger stone is due to the reasons above.

is trapping the smoke in those capillaries bad for your lungs? and do you have to take big hits to the point of coughing uncontrolably or can you just take a hit and simply cough even if you dont need to and still get full absorbtion?

simply coughing works, but the more you cough the more expansion/ air pressure there is... yes any smoke in the lungs is damaging, the more smoke exposure the worse it is...

it just seems like if smoke is going into capalaries and these capalaries close, where does the smoke go? isnt it trapped? or do the capalaires open when exhaling?

well, the smoke is either absorbed or exhausted. if the lung's pockets never open, then all of the smoke that can be absorbed will be. i don't know any more than that, wish i knew a doctor so i could 'phone a friend'.

hahah right on, i was just curious since it seems like a bad idea healthwise to have all that smoke trapped in your lungs all day turningthem black and what not

Capillaries contain blood, not contain smoke.

They carry blood right next to the essence so efficient, bi-directional chemical exchange can occur.

I still get a wicked head rush sometimes from a bit hit of vapor that produces no cough at all. is that oxygen debt? i still get all tingly and euphoric but my vision doesn't go black or tunneled at all.

I have several small species of rodent that live in the deep closets of my current state of mind. Trying to eliminate them only makes it worse. I may have to accept them as part of a bigger picture. I don’t have any intention to wait for the situation to change.

I do smoke herb every now and past.
I realize herbs not the worst or best.
But sometimes through this fog I see, everything inside the inner me.
I feel no wrong indulging so, it's the thread that holds each person's glow.
Now and then, this herb's a friend, I thank for the me it brings again.
