Hmmm....3,469.3 km away from me, not far enough. Now I'm sure someone will defend his right to own and carry. Shit like this doesn't happen nearly so often in Socialist Canada.
By the way, as far as I'm concerned, a shot to the back of the head is not self-defense, it's an execution.
If they can prove that he's "wanted to kill somebody", then it's 1st degree murder.

Thats Y like drivers licenses we need to have aptitude tests for guns.... I understand that most of the midwest would have to give up their firarms but how is this shit legal and pot isnt.. its unreal how people get away with the dumbest crap and live out their lives and I cant even install cable because of a weed charge!!!
It kinda seems that guy was looking for an excuse to shoot someone. You cannot shoot someone for pulling into your garage and ringing your bell. There has to be "Clear and Present Danger" as prescribed by law in order to claim self defense, and in this case this guy was just as A-hole.
What r some thoughts about the fact that cali doesnt allow you to own a gun and a mmid card? I mean if your growing pot you have more of a need for a gun 24/7 than the manager who has one to make bank deposits with. I mean c'mon the average setup alone is valued in the thousands (serious set-up), not to mention inventory and growth.

Explaining his actions to police after the shooting, Roop said he became more than a little nervous as Rainey walked down the driveway toward his truck and appeared to have something in his hand.
As Rainey drew within 4 feet, Roop grabbed his 9mm Glock from his pocket and fired once, striking Rainey in the shoulder, he told police. Rainey fell to the ground, screaming, You shot me, in what Roop described as an antagonistic manner, according to the report.
Roop said he was still in fear and thought Rainey was reaching for something, so he shot Rainey once more in the back of the head, for effect, the report said. A company order brochure and cell phone were found near Raineys body.
