I think she is an embarrassment. Now people are going to think all women are as dumb as a bag of hammers, just like her. blah.........
You know what an embarrassment is, miss? Its trying to make sense to someone who is pro-O'Bama. You know, someone who believes in "change," but who cannot articulate what "changes" O'Bama has in mind. Please list the changes:

I said Palin was an embarrassment, that is my right to be embarrassed by her. A family whos last name is Maverick actually wants them to stop calling theirselves Mavericks.

I knew you were just voting for color not ability. You already proved it on another thread. I feel sorry for you and your narrow mind.

So how about those Palin changes?

No, no, no ... silly girl. You're the one voting for "change." Now the least you could do is to express what those "changes" would be. Have a go at it ...

Changes Obama is proposing:

 1. Increasing funds for technological research, especially for alternative energy
 2. Streamlining medical record access, saving billions per year in medical costs
 3. Improving the international image of the US
 4. Getting the US out of Iraq
 5. Increasing government transparency
 6. Giving college money in exchange for community service
 7. Reforming copyright law
 8. Eliminating income tax for senior citizens making < $50,000 a year
 9. Promoting volunteer programs and community service
 10. Eliminating the need to file taxes for most Americans

That was just off the top of my head. Any lists for Palin?

As for Palin ... she is not running for president. As VP, she will support the platform of John McCain ... and that is:

John McCain candidate platform

High priorities: War in Iraq, immigration reform, pro-life/adoption

Abortion: Pro-life.

Capital Punishment: Supports capital punishment for federal crimes.

Education: McCain believes state and local agencies, not the federal government, should be responsible for developing and enforcing academic standards. Supports teacher testing and merit pay for the best teachers. Supports charter schools and federally-financed school vouchers for students in failing schools; believes “choice and competition” are the future of education. Believes No Child Left Behind is a “good beginning” but needs to be fixed.

Energy/Environmental Issues: McCain has pledged to end U.S. reliance on foreign oil and says America must modernize the way it generates and employs energy. As president, would support “declaration of independence” from foreign oil suppliers and rely on technological innovations to achieve that goal. Supports expansion of safe nuclear power to address energy needs, while providing for safe storage of spent nuclear fuel. Supports development of flexible-fuel vehicles, along with alcohol fuels made from sugar, corn, switch grass and other resources. Plans to limit carbon and greenhouse gas emissions by harnessing market forces that will bring advanced technologies such as nuclear energy to the market faster, and implement a cap-and-trade system for utility or industrial plants that reduce emissions. Believes climate change is a “global problem that requires a global solution.”

Experience: Senator, navy pilot, beer distributor

Gay Marriage: Opposes gay marriage. Supports civil unions.

Health Care: McCain’s focus is on lowering health care costs to bring down the cost of insurance. His plan for affordable health care includes: allowing families to be in charge of their health care dollars, promoting competition between health care companies, promoting illness prevention, providing health care access to all citizens, giving veterans the option to chose their own provider, promoting alternative treatments, making treatment options and medical cost information public, reforming payment systems, supporting innovative delivery systems (clinics in retail outlets), fostering development of cheaper and generic versions of drugs, reforming insurance practices to increase variety and affordability, making it easy for families to purchase health insurance nationwide and across state lines, making health coverage portable from job to job, teaching children about health and exercise, and introducing public initiatives to stop the epidemic of obesity, diabetes and to deter smoking.

Immigration: McCain was the co-sponsor of a bipartisan immigration reform bill that called for stronger border enforcement but provided a pathway to legal citizenship for illegal immigrants already living in the U.S., provided they learn English, pay a fine and have clean criminal records. Supports stronger screening of cargo at ports as part of border enforcement. Supports working with leaders in Mexico and Latin America to strengthen democracy and economic opportunities for their citizens.

The war in Iraq: McCain voted in favor of the resolution authorizing the use of force in Iraq. He disagreed with the Bush administration’s management of the war and called for former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld’s ouster, arguing that the U.S. had not committed a sufficient number of troops to the conflict. Supported the surge of additional troops to clear and hold insurgent strongholds, provide security for rebuilding local institutions and economies, halt sectarian violence in Baghdad and disarm militias, dismantle al Qaeda, train the Iraqi Army; and to embed American personnel in Iraqi police units. McCain’s strategy also includes strengthening the Iraqi armed forces and police, and accelerating political and economic reconstruction. He opposes adoption of a timetable for withdrawal.

“The war in Iraq is at a crossroads and the future of the entire region is at stake - a region that produced the terrorists who attacked America on 9/11 and where much of the world’s energy supplies are located. Success is essential to creating peace in the region, and failure would expose the United States to national security threats for generations” Calls the situation “difficult for now, but not without hope.”

Social Security: McCain calls for bipartisan reform of America’s entitlement programs, including Social Security. Says he is “unalterably opposed” to raising taxes to finance Social Security but says everything must be on the table. Supports plan to subsidize current system with personal accounts.

Stem Cell Research: McCain supports federally-funded stem cell research on existing lines of stem cells. Opposes creation of human embryos for purposes of research.

Taxes and Budget issues: McCain supports the repeal of the Alternative Minimum Tax. Supports making the Bush administration’s income and investment tax cuts permanent. Promises to increase transparency in government spending and take aim at “wasteful” “pork barrel” spending. Has called for requirement of a 3/5 vote of Congress to raise taxes. Supports ban on Internet and cell phone taxes.

And you believe him? This is rhetoric to get elected, then the only thing he'll do is continue the bush tax cuts and the Iraq war. His medical plan stinks. What does a 5,000 dollar tax credit mean? It means that you wont have to pay taxes on 5,000 dollars of your income or 750.00 in your pocket to go find medical insurance. That won't even cover one month of premiums. It's a total bullshit deal.

What's his medical plan? oh that's right, to eliminate employer paid medical and give you a 5,000 dollar tax credit, or $750.00. That won't even pay one months premium. The average premium for a family of 4 is $1200.00. So basically here is what McCain is saying: "Here's $750.00 for your medical, now go fuck off.

Of course, one must consider the very real possibility that McCain will not live very long, in which case Palin's positions will be what matters. So, you can't just pretend that what she thinks is irrelevant. If McCain was a spry man of 50 or even 60, and if he didn't have multiple instances of the worst kind of skin cancer, then her positions wouldn't be all that important. But reality is what it is. Somebody could be playful and come up behind him and go "Boo" and he might just keel over dead. Good thing his VP isn't an ambitious woman or she might just do that herself.

Actually it's $800, but, is irrelevant.

Obama's plan, and McCain's plan both have the same underlying flaw, They will both put money into the pockets of the health insurance industry.

I don't know about you, Med, but I do not equate health care, with having health insurance. For me, true health care would be being able to pay for it out of pocket with out the intercession of a third party, that is not mainly interested in providing me with health care, but with making profits.

Of course, if fools and sheeple wish to believe otherwise, who am I to stop them, I just wish it Medicaid, Medicare, S-CHIP and the whole slew of other government subsidized medical programs were not having such an inflationary effect on the price of paying out of pocket.

Though, I'm seriously wondering if there might not be away to self-insure (through a company that I set up myself for that specific purpose).

I like that, anti-abortion

Pro death penalty.

Let's have those kids that aren't wanted, beat them, neglect them, starve them, damage them emotionally, physically and mentally then turn them loose on society so they can commit a few dozen crimes, then we'll kill them off. DOH........

PS McCain has told way more "election lies" than Obama has. It seems to me that Obama has to spend all of his time cleaning up after McCain's smear tactics.

Here's another thought along the same lines, Bong ... O'Bama has a 100% greater chance of contracting Sickle Cell Anemia than McCain or Palin has. But then, you've probably thought about that already, right?
