Then you have the family situation. You hve teens havig kids- since they are kids you have kids raising babies, the results aren't going to be great. Then you have teen dads that dont take having babies seriously and you get a broken home.

There are studies that directly tie doing chores at home and stable home life as a child to happiness and success as an adult. The most impressive is the Harvard Grant which. Talks about happiness and other things. There should be a middleschool requirement to take and pass a course on this study as it is eye openingand I think kids at this age are smart enough to understand and listen.

linear algebra, or precalculus at 14-15 years old? The school system is effed up.

Figuring out the long side of a right triangle or what the inverse cosine is doesnt do anything for all these poor kids that are making poor choices. Taking them on a 'Scared Straight' prison tour - that's what we teach kids.... its sickening. RED OUT.

So you were forgiven for your thievery. I'm happy for you, you seem like a nice guy so it's good you were given a second chance.

The word we should be discussing in both your forgiven thievery and public school funding is "consent".

If consent exists, it's not theft. If it doesn't exist or it is given under duress, a theft has occurred.

Would you say threatening to steal a persons home creates "duress" ? I would.

That could be, but your failing to consider all the possibilities because some of the potential outcomes disagree with your narrative sheds light on YOUR racism. You prefer a certain outcome therefore you prematurely discard any other potential outcomes if they disagree with your preferred outcome. Confirmation bias much ?

You need to back up a bit. The efficacy of a thing that is involuntarily funded doesn't provide a reason to use threats to acquire funding. Whether public schools suck (they do) or not, the way they are funded needs to changed...because it is wrong.


You need to find a way to create competition and apply free market principles which rely on peaceful and voluntary funding from WILLING customers. If you fail to do that, what differentiates public schools method of funding from the same method used by thugs?

but actually, 20+ million people have signed up for obamacare. this year was record setting. i guess people want to get covered before your racist orange hero takes it away.

When a person buys a home he or she agrees to pay the property tax. You agreed when you signed. Same as when you signed for your sons to have a social security number. Don't bitch after you used the benifits.
How will you file your taxes this year ?

Ummm you are the one who has a problem paying property tax. Not I.
Do you have any ideas how to keep PUBLIC SCHOOLS running without property taxes ?

There are private schools in the USA. Free market principles are applied, they compete and the market is there for provate schooling....

You know why this industry has not outgrown and wiped out public education? I mean you would think companies would be jumping at the chance. The market is HUGE given how is mandated every kid go to school.

It is because the industry has seen that there is no profit in education past a certain class size. The logistical requirements are too much and the risk is too high- real estate, teachers, security, insurances etc. Its not a profitable enterprise to make education accessible to EVERY person. Education is only profitable if student selection is limited, classes are small, and the cost per credit is high. There is no other argument this is just the reality of the world we live in. Anything else is based on false premises and assumptions, not grounded in facts and reality.

So there are two options: let capitalism take its course and have the majority of people in the US completely cutoff from education bc of price - or you provide schooling for 'free' and let each individual make the most of school if they choose to.... make it a public service that has to be provided by society and that way everybody benefits.

You can try to say whatever you want about duress but the bottom line is history and reality prove you wrong.

Except you're wrong. When a person buys a house they agree to pay the owner a sum of money. If they can't reach agreement that person can make an offer to another person for another house and if they can reach agreement the purchase happens.

Property tax = an oxymoron If the characteristics of property and tax are understood, my equation is irrefutable.
