Young Seedlings turning yellow...? Thanks for taking a look.

Hello,
I have some seedlings that are around 2.5 weeks old. They are growing super slow and they're turning yellow...

Started in fox farm light warrior.
Transfered to fox farm happy frog two days ago hoping that would help. It hasn't
haven't been fed any nutes

tap water with ph around 6-6.5

I think tap water may be killing my plants...possible

what do you have for lighting? what do you have for air movement? may not have been over watering but is the soil drainning well.

they almost look deficient but in FFLW or FFHF they shouldnt be.

judging from thier size at 2.5 weeks old i would have to say that your lighting is inadaquate, temps may be too high/low not really sure man, i start seedlings in Ocean forest and have no issues (as of yet) but i do add more perilite to the mix for airation and drainage.

when you water does the water quickly work its way through the container and out the bottom? do you have drain holes in bottom? if not drill some holes in that planter and give them a good watering to flush out any stagnant water that may be in there. then let them dry out well for a container that size you shouldnt have to water more than once a week right now unless your temps are crazy high.

Wow, you have something strange going on here. Those little guys aren't deficient as they are not nearly large enough to be using any nutrients from the soil. Are you sure about your PH? My very first grow I watered with distilled water that was not ph'd and my little guys looked very similar. I would bet it's a ph issue or a wet root zone.

Thanks for the reply. Where's the button to "like" your post?

I'm lighting with a four tube t5. So the lighting is adequate. Also, I started them in solo cups with holes in the bottom so the drainage was good. I've sprouted seeds many times with no problems until now. Also to note my older plants that are flowering have a similar thing going on which is why I suspect I might have really shitty tap water

Thanks for the reply. I'm pretty sure but I can't be 100% because I use the ph drops. But I've been using the drops for awhile and they've seemed to have served me well.

as soon as the first set of leaves come out they start utilizing nutrients from the medium, try getting past 2 weeks in a hydro setup with 0 PPM

is it city water? if so it might be chlorine, not really sure what plants look like when hit with too much chlorine but them seedlings do look bleached. try flushing and using some distilled or spring water

Yeah, it's city water...I can actually smell the chlorine in the water.
I think I may...I'm considering adding some epsom salts as well...it seemed to work for someone else with a similar problems but I don't know..ugh

At what stage do you put them in FF OF? Do you germ then put in a plug and then FF OF? Thanks

And to OP. So you have a thermostat/hydrometer? What are you doing for humidity?

He's not doing hydro, he is in soil. I use promix = 0 nutes. I never give them anything till they are on their 3rd or 4th node, but hey I'm only speaking from experience what do I know.

i put the seed in the soil and let it grow.

ito OP i wouldnt go adding epsom salts as they arent really "good" for plants. they are a quick fix soon some deficiency issues but otherwise not a good additave in general.

try using different water for a while...

im simply saying that they start using nutrients from the soil as soon as they start photosynthisizing.....you want to get snotty and take it personally go ahead but my intention wasnt a personal attack against you.

The temps are in the 60-70's

Humidity is fine.

I let them germ, then I plant them in fox farm light warrior.

I recently transplanted them to happy frog no ocean forest. Ocean forest would burn them at this point.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger and buy a RO system. They probably won't be dry enough to water again for about a week since I just transplanted. I hope they make it that long.

like i said above flush the hell out of em with some spring water. that will get rid of the chlorine. as long as your soil is draining good you should not end up with a overwatering problem, overwatering is more from keeping the soil so wet either from constant watering or non draining soil that the roots rot or they dampen off and die. at this point letting themsit in that chlorine is just going to make matters worse.
