You can also boil your tap and let it cool to room temp, let it sit in an open contain (wide surface area) over night, or add aquarium de-chlorine drops (don't get the ones for slime coat) to remove the chlorine from your tap water. Of course, that doesn't take care of everything that might be in your tap.

Lot of pre fabricated soil tend to sneak in nutrients into their products. That combined with very wet soil and clohrine/chloramine water is a recipy for hair ripping. I actually went out of my house, dug up some sandy dirt from the basement and mixxed that with some basic soil from a park nearby. My seedlings loved it :P When it comes to water, best water you can get is the rain that falls from the skies. It sounds silly, but many products imo takes away one problem and gives you another. Most weeds i've encounterd over the last year loves it when the soil is semi dry. Not that i think its overwaterd. I recently got a new soil type that i tested, and it didnt dry out before two weeks had gone by. heh..

Due to reoccurring problems that I haven't been able to diagnose...I pulled the trigger on buying a reverse osmosis system that should be arriving tomorrow. I'll keep updating to whether or not that seems to solve any problems...Also I'll be buying an ph meter...I've been using the drops

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to start watering with reverse osmosis from now on....I really hope that'll help

before you open that box. just got to the store and buy some reverse o water and see if it wil work. thatll save you some huuuge money i would imagine.

Yeah, I probably should've. I got the system from purewaterclub.com and have NO idea how to put it together. To boot, the company hasn't answered any of my emails. They have shitty directions on their site for one model but not mine...frustrating

Jus throwing this out there...I'm doing a test right now with my tap water that I used to think was killing of my crop. I can smell chlorine outa the faucet too I didn't let it sit out and starting ppm is around 250 added some nutes in my DWC and the plants are looking great so far. Everyones water may be really different but just wanted to throw that out. Peace hope ya solved your issue though!

Thanks for the reply. It's weird because I started about 20 seeds and none look good but some look like the are suffering different deficiencies than others yet they all get the same water and soil. Also same problem in my flower room. out of 20 plants 14 are really yellow and four are perfectly healthy.

It seems the most of my seedlings are effected by this problem. Some look like they were popped a couple days ago but have been growing over a month. Most of them are yellowing and some have burnt tips. (almost looking like nute burn but they haven't been fed) It's looking like $200 worth of seeds are heading to their demise. lovely.

Hello mate. Thanks for linking me here. I've looked over this thread before...and haven't commented - because it's a bit weird.

My first advice to you (and I know it's a pain in the arse) would be to get a tech spec from your local water supplier (can you say where you are?), they should be legally obliged to give it to you - and post the reply up here, or you can pm me with it if you want. Let's see what's what with that. In the meantime, I'm a bit stuck - it looks like they might be a bit wet - have you changed your starting soil from what you've been using before - anything different from before at all? Have a think and let us know asap - let's get you on the right track

Thanks much for the reply. Yeah, I probably have 20 grows or so under my belt which is why my current set of problems is so frustrating. I'm not doing anything currently that I haven't done in the past. I've used light warrior in the past to start seedlings with no probs in the past. I'll try to get a water report. thanks.

1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg4.jpg A new deficiancy seems to be showing itself on the lower left plant. The majority of of seedlings however look like the ones in the middle, while the one on the right looks healthy yet they are all getting the same treatment.

it feels like voodoo magic with these plants sometime. but it could be a wide array of things. mabey just a bad batch of seeds. mabey they got to hot or cold during shipping. but there is always an answer for everything. any luck getting that company to answer your calls about your ro system

I probably emailed that RO company over 20 times with no response....Now I've got a new RO system just sitting there acting as a door stop.

Update, A chunk of the seedlings have been improving. Not all of them but any improvement is good. Thing is that I haven't changed anything though. My temps have been in the low to mid 60's so I don't think that's helping matters though.
