Your first scar

I had a glass door break and fall on me when I was a little over a year old. It gave me a scar on my forehead, just to the left and just below my left eye and took out a little notch out of the top of my left ear.

Can you tell the chainsaw story? I would love to hear it.
You ever see barbwire nailed to a sapling? The tree will grow around it. I was cutting fire wood and the fence had long been broke off this tree. The tree healed around it and I didn't see it. As I was cutting into the log it hit and kicked back on me. It hit me harder than any man has. It gave me a severe concussion. Three slices to the forehead. 42 stitches. I get pissed every time I look in the mirror.

The brake saved my life. If I would have used my old stihl without a brake that day it would have kept cutting.

My brother drove me to the er. I was calm and walked in under my own power. I won't lie. It scared the shit out of me. I was pale and even in shock a little. I knew to stay calm and grabbed a towel to put over it.

I was standing in line at the er and the nursed leaned over to see around the people in front of me. She asked "What happened?".

" Chainsaw hit me in the head." I replied. "Oh shit!" Was her response and took me straight back for a ct scan to make sure it didn't cut into my skull.

anybody who has cut wood has a saw story. at least your's isn't a dumb ass one like me. cutting above my head, kicked back and just grazed the top of my shoulder, 10 stiches, old ass heavy Remington, no nothing as far as safety goes, i was lucky as fuck it didn't bisect me.
Yea I don't use that old stihl without safety brake on it. I won't sell it either. I don't want someone to kill themselves with it.

Those lil scars are actually from a chaisaw. A lil electric one,but big enough to cut 3 in branches. Got lucky and only needed stitches. Never again did I clear brush while stoned. But this ain't my 1st scar.

I won't run dangerous equipment or do dangerous things stoned. Its to easy to make a mistake as it is.

A crate of broken drink bottles concealed under the falling leaves and a foolish 6 year old kid who loved to ride his bike into piles of leaves and jump off...that was the first of many trips to get stiches over the years. I don't have any chainsaw stories but I do have one involving a drill and a 18" long drill bit that was particularly gruesome.

First scar.... very sensitive stuff, guys. But OK, I'll go for it...

#1 Physical: My mother dropped me, accidentally (I hope, lol), my head then hitting the radiator (above my right eye, there's a scar "under" my eyebrow. Girls often ask me if I do like they do, nip away and trim my eyebrows - hehe... :p

#1 Emotional: When I told my mother I had become a heroinist, as 18y old. (This ended 4 years ago 100% completely, now just pot and that's it). This thing caused me so much trauma, I still struggle with it. Example: Last night, I couldn't sleep, and cried about this whole thing, about what suffering I've caused to my family... Thankfully I've already got "a better rep" among them, and they even talk to me.

#2 Emotional: Lucas Michael Anthony Lxxxxx died (SIDS) as only 4 months and 5 days old, June 30th 2012. I have to live with this, enjoying my daughter (soon 5y old), and just trying to make the best of everything.

Sorry for the melancholy mood here in my post. Love you guys - gotta love RIU and the people that make it the best site on the web!

Yours sincerely,

Tomas
P.S. I also got shot, while serving in the army. LOL! :lol:o_O

Twas about 5 and had just gotten our windows replaced. The old ones sat in the backyard in a pile. I thought dropping a cinder block through them would be fun. I had these cowboy boots I loved that I had outgrown but refused to part with. They tripped me and the weight of the cinder block forced my hand through many panes of glass. Fun stuff.

Summer of first grade mom enrolled me in summer sports camp at school to get me out of her hair for a few weekday hours. One day were doing crafts with sharp wood carving tools. Anyways, the xtacto knife or whatever slipped and sliced open the length of my pinkie finger. The line for adult help with our craft projects was like 15 minutes long so I waited in line with the gash in my hand. I should have yelled a little or cried instead. Had to get several stitches.

First scar was me and some punk ass fucker fighting over a tin can, in a sandbox in preschool. It was a big can. I had the open end and that little bitch let go and it ripped the top of my eyebrow open. I still have about a 1" scar. Punk mother fucker!
I have so many scars nowadays. I'm a metalstud framer and lather by trade. Sooooo many scars. So many stitches
