Your input on realistic scenarios of Kali Mist grow

So I'm planning to plant 1 seed of Kali Mist on March 1, I will be taking a trip to China that will last 10 days, and it starts in July 21. Indoors grow

So doing the math that's 4.5 months, will it be ready to harvest before July 21? if it ain't and I harvest on August the 2nd will it be too late?

And if it's too late what would happen? Complete waste or simply more amber thrichomes/more stony effect?

You cannot rush flower phase..so why pick a pure sativa strain? If you plant a seed on March 1 that gives you about 20 weeks to July 21 but you will need 10 to 13 weeks to ripen the bud of this strain which gives you only 7 weeks from seed to veg & a tight harvest window...if you wait til August might be ok but who is gonna take care of your plant when you are away? I suggest popping an Indica or hybrid that will finish in 10 weeks.

Well, I was thinking on using automatic watering spikes, I'm just worried about letting it flower for 10 more days in the scenario where the trichomes would be ready to harvest let's say on day 2 of that 10 days I'm going to be away, so if I give them 8 more days what would happen?

So is it really that easy for a weed to go wrong if away 10 days even if it gets automatic watering?

You need experience with your automatic watering system, knowing how much respiration the plant is doing at that exact stage of flowing. If it's at the end of it's flowing cycle, it won't be taking up much water.


Why not raise the light, lower the wattage and put plastic wrap over the container and it won't need any extra water for 10 days.


Or, better yet, choose indica and be done with it

Yeah so if it's not taking much water and this automatic watering spikes only give water when needed and testing them before going away then I what could go wrong?

I will be growing fast autos before growing this one. By the time it is growing I will already be smoking last harvest.

How much did one bean cost?

I always wanted to grow a Kali Mist but the price made me say no. Instead i grew Western Winds a few times....very nice.

Ive got Kali China in the wings.

In pick and mix UK you can choose by single seed, still expensive but I only need 1 plant.
