your take on outdoor mini greenhouse starter trays

have you guys seen these? my friends have mix opinions on them, the moisture collects and foggs up the tray but i would think whiping it off every day or two would be fine. reason i ask is im thinkin about buying one to start some outdoor seeds im germing and hate to go to my spot and see dead starters harmed by bugs
any and all opinions on these welcome as well as some referals to particular brand that is favored

I've burned my leaves by foliar feeding during the daytime. The sun magnifies through the water droplets on the leaves and makes little pinhole burns. I imagine that outside in strong sun the same thing could happen with those greenhouses. I think I've used the type of thing you're talking about, but only for germination, and indoors under no more than 50w cfls.

I find they work best after germinating while plant is still a little sprout and rooting, especially when the weather is still a bit cool. I'm using one right now but as soon as it warms up and the plant goes into vegataive stage i plan on transplanting in a bigger pot without the mini green house

you can't use them outdoors, they'll over heat even if you have a deluxe one with vents. I wouldn't recommend one indoors either really, you don't need the humidity for sprouting seeds.

really? because i have some plants out in my greenhouse right now and i planned on keeping them there all summer i really have no other place to put them...ive been opening the vents every morning but its still not into the hot part of summer yet so idk, i was also gunna put a fan up on one vent to suck the hot air out. is there any way i can keep them in there all summer with frying them?

my greenhouse is a decent size i can walk around in it. its probaly about 15feet long, 10 feet wide, and like 7-10 feet tall. so yeah...?

I use these just fine for clones / seedlings just put in a place of indirect sunlight until they can be transplanted.

No damage as of yet. Plus the heat really helps them start fast.

im planning on using one to start my Purple widows when i get them. however after a few weeks i will be moving them to the spot. the size im looking at you DEFINATLY wouldnt be able to walk around in though :P

get pots ... say to start the plants for 3 weeks ... put the plants under and inside a mosquito net (i have dark green) and bugs + animals cant get them :)

oh yeah hadnt thought of that. would it not block out too much light though?

( i like the display pic by the way! hah)
