Really? I thought you were supposed to let them grow threw the screen some first, and then bend them under the screen?
although what you're saying makes more sense....
you can do it either way i suppose, i like to LST so i can controll the sid ebranching better, also by tying fown the top the side branches take on a "top" attitude and grow pretty wild, the main thing with a ScROG is to utilize as much of the screen as possible while maintaing an even height on your canopy, dosent matter which way you accomplish it.

Well I took your advice Matt and tied down Bloosom and Buttercup with some paper clips. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that if I let them grow through the screen, they will stretch too far past it and start hitting my lights. Also Bubbles is doing well and growing, but still just way behind the other two, still can't decide what I'm going to do with her.....

Hella preflowers!!!

All finished up and my drink of the night :)

Well Blossom and Buttercup are obviously autos just like my last plants. Bubbles is well caught up and still in veg mode so I will continue to keep the 18/6 light cycle until she is bent under the screen a little bit and hopefully the branches of the other two will stretch far enough to pass the screen before they get too big

oh ok i didnt realize 2 were auto's

in that case what i would do

kep that 18/6 and train that photo for as long a sit takes to flower them auto's. then when you pull the auto's switch to 12/12 and flower out that massive photo plant......thats what i would do. not daying thats what you should do :)

Finally scroging!!!!!

Since two of the girls turned out to be autos, I raised them up some so they could reach the gate and start growing through. Bubbles is now starting to grow through the screen and luckily I don't think she's auto flowering. My plan is to continue to scrog her to the left and fill that part of the screen and then flip them to flower. Feel free to post up with comments or questions!!

hey glock hows it been, my current adventure is in my sig if you want to see my current activities.

zip im not trying to be negative but the auto's might be better off without that screen, maybe keep the photo in veg for a bit and continue training it untill the auto's are done then when you pull them toss that screen back in, move all your branching through the screen and flip to flower. if you flip to flower and go 12/12 on auto's your really hurting thier potential as the longer light periods on auto's lets them grow bigger and faster. the one advantage auto's have over a photo period plant is that they can and will continue to flower on a 24/0 light schedule so you really want to give them as much light as you feel comfortable (i believe a little sleepy time is always good for plants) maybe a 20/4 light schedule would be good. your call maybe look into it a bit but if you allow that photo period plant to veg while them auto's flower out it will get really good sized and with proper training can fill that ScROG screen right up then you will have the bud from the auto's to hold you over until that photoperiod plant finishes up

Took out the screen a few days ago actually. All 3 of my girls are autos so I gave up on trying to scrog. Wtf are the odds that my last 5 bag seed plants are all autos? Oh well, at least I got a little lst experience under my belt now.

Now, I don't plan on changing the light cycle at all, but at this point would they benefit from switching to my flowering bulbs? I mean, they all are fully flowering now so I don't see why not.

bud pics :)

those are some tiny autos! you say bag seed? they do look nice but maybe for your next grow get some non autos, would love to see the screen filled out and the cabinet glowing with green
