Zone 9 help

im located in ZONE #9 and my experience outside of growing mj and a sunflower in 2nd grade is ZERO!

Im interested in growing some fruit in containers/pots. 5gal pots or bigger if need be.

Im not sure what i should grow as im not sure what would be something easy to adapt my mj growing skills to. like ive always heard growing tomatoes is almost identical to growing mj (as far as requirements go) what is relatively easy to grow thats fruit. doesnt have to be the exact same as mj but nothing overly complicated as im new to the fruit and vegetable farming.

i live in a pretty urban area so thats y i want to grow in pots (ie. i dont have the space).

so i could do fruit trees but id need a dwarf variety as i dont have room for a 15 foot tree in my yard.

things that appeal to me so far:
blueberries
raspberries
dwarf apple trees (especially red delicious and granny smith)
Pineapples (dont kno much about how they grow but i do love pineapples)
oranges of all kinds really.

but im open to any ideas really as long as its something i dont find disgusting (ie. apricots! blah)

i know some need pollinators so if you know something that will pair good with something you suggest please bring my attention to it!

cant wait for the responses!

Pineapples are almost a cacti. You can grow one from a crown of the one you ate.

forget about apple [it's too warm in the winter],unless you get a variety that doesn't need a long dormant time, like "Tropical Beauty'.
You should be good with citrus...any kind. Bees like them, so no need to worry about pollination.

that's the best I can do for ya...

call this a stupid question but do crowns only grow 1 pineapple? i never seen a mature pineapple plant b4 lol. if you only grow one then im not gonna be interested as id need wayyy too many plants to get a good amount off it. especially cuz i eat pineapples like nobody's business. lol

too warm for apples? damn.

so with citrus i dont need to grow more than one?

what do you know about berries? ive heard some will be good but a lot of the varieties are designed for the north. most say zones 4-8 or something.
whats the biggest difference between zone and 9? is there a way i still grow something designed to grow in zone 8 in zone 9? possibly by bringing it inside or what cuz im lost on the zone thing. im use to growing indoors so i control everything needed for the specific plant. outdoor growing is new to me pretty much.

Zone 8 may see frost. For sure..I live in 8A. Lot of variance. Too cold for citrus here. But a few miles and a microclimate or two away, citrus is OK.
Basic rule of thumb. If citrus will, apples won't. I don't think zone 9 frosts....not sure of this.

pineapples are a bromiliad...1 fruit /plant.

no help w/berries, but I would red or black raspberries might do.
