Can I pull of dead leaves or bite burnt leaves and it will be ok

So I was wondering if it will be alright if I cut some leaves back to get more light to the center of the plant and chop off some nute burnt fan leaves and everything will be alright if it is in veg state cause I heard if I mess with it while it is in flower it will stress the plant and hermie it cause I did this my first grow and I Bernie's my plants and I titally messed with them in flower so pretty much my question is if I cut off dead and nute burnt leaves while my plant is in veg will it hermie it later when I flower it any info or answers would be greatly appreciated thanks a lot you guys and happy growing

i do some pretty heavy pruning up to the first couple weeks of flower. just don't cut too much at any one time. this will keep the stress to a minimum. try tucking the leaves out of the way if you can. no need to cut, unless necessary. once they get crispy, they won't be back, so might as well cut em.

Dead leafs do nothing for the plant so pull them if they are alive and green leave them to do their job

Might as well forget the punctuation if you forget the grammar. I also do some heavy pruning in flower, mostly getting budsites light

Hell yeah my brother pull off as many as you like itll be just fine. Veg, flower it doesnt matter! If its upsetting you or looks ugly than fuck it! Dont worry about hermies they wil do it regardless if you pick off a few leaves or not, some strains and phenotypes are like that. Have fun and good luck! :)

Soooooo much bad advice.

Leaves photosynthesize. Without leaves, your plants will not photosynthesize light. Don't pull the leaves unless your plant is already trying to shed them... ... And stop burning your plants with nutes. 8)

Be careful whose advice you take. A few guys were leading you the right way.

  • Never remove leaves. Photosynthesis will not happen otherwise. Removing leaves to make light for bud is not the right way. If thats what you are thinking. Manipulation by bending and tying down,Super cropping etc to open up lower sites is best. I scrog and remove all lower shoots but keep as many fan leaves as possible. Removal of fan leaves that are healthy will decrease your final yield. Buds that never see the light of day will still form into buds if the plant has enough leaves to support a healthy plant. The flowers don't support the plant. Its the leaves that support the plant that produces the flowers.​

Thanks a lot ppl that have helped me I apologize for bit using the correct grammar my phone changes a lot of the words if it does not recognize them in its memory data bank and I don't like using periods because its a waste of time in my opinion lol but I really do appreciate the advice these are the burnt tips I was talking about and here is my grow so far it's my second grow ever and I'm a real newbie over here haha but anyhow I do appreciate the advice of the correct statements more then you know cause I could use all the help I can get but any way here is the pics it's my first time using a hps 400 watt and before for my first grow I was using CFls that was a pain I mean I got bud off of them but it Hermes so I had to chop it 2 months early and it was really premature so I am trying to do it right this time ya know anyways here's the pics the last 2 pics are from my first grow with the cfl lights and the first 2 is my new grow with the hps light 400 watt

Here's the deal. The leaves are dying for a reason. The only time I suggest pulling off any leaves that are still functional is if you think you have solved whats causing that and need to guage if it continues.

Then it makes sense to pull of the affected leaves so you can see if it continues onto new leaves.

If those leaves are dying its because the plant needs something and is pulling what it needs from them.

Pulling off leaves before solving the issue just shifts the issue to a new set of leaves.

No offense but but many have left the site due to folks giving bad advise all the time.

These 2 are trying to combat bad advise for this new person who really doesn't know what is what.

Not saying you are bad. Just the advise given in this thread.
