Definitely man! There are a lot of that kind of thing in London, although from what i've seen, pretty commercial. But in my part of the cou/ntry, there is nothing. I just love the simplicity of the operation. There is no need for a second mortgage so as to buy fancy tableware, no pimping the missus to pay for fancy ovens and whatnot. I love the premise of places where you simply go out for good food, not places where you have to dress up and make an occasion of it. The whole eating around the central bar was fantastic, i can't think of a single place on this side of the country with that kind of atmosphere. The kitchen at cafe de klos was smaller than most places walk-in fridge, yet a man and a grill was all the place needed. Will be going back for certain come the summer. Wasn't a fan of the smoked ribs though, i'll stick with regular. You open a place like Cafe Klos, TTT and people will flock to it!!! Live the Dream!
I do love seafood, as much as i do meat, but alas in the UK, seafood costs an absolute fortune, let alone line caught, fresh seafood. I hate the way trawlers operate. But if i did head down the path of a grill place, then it wouldn't be out of the question to have a few simple affordable fishy options. Nothing wrong with a grilled makerel! well, there wasn't, and then Jamie fucking Oliver went on his "let's all eat this abundant cheap fish" campaign and suddenly prices skyrocket.you gotta open up a seafood place tip..seems like whenever I check in here you're posting some killer fish dish or something. I can see it now:
