Anybody have any idea what's wrong with these clones?

Looks to me like the cloning just didnt go perfectly, you cant really do much for them at this point except wait it out. If theyve rooted thell take off eventually, even baldy. I dont take clones with dirt in cups because its not the most reliable way. I use rooter plugs, cloning gel not powder, and a real humidity dome. Buy the best tools for the job and the job goes easier. I also always take more clones than i need and take the best ones, that way even if your having problems like your having, youll still have a couple goodns that pull through. Good luck man :)
I agree, get some rooting plugs, gel, and good humidity dome. I've never had an issue with clones. Always get 100% roots and survival rate. Roots generally appear in 7-12 days. I do squeeze all the water out of the plugs and let them sit in a bucket with RO water. I live in the desert and have never had problems with heat being an issue. I usually spray the inside of the dome and the clones at least 3 times a day. I also keep the light source close to the dome, but I'm running CFL/floros too. Once i see roots poke thru the plugs I will fill up the prop tray with RO water til it reaches the bottom of the plugs. (I do this for a day or two just so the roots wont dry out til i can get them in soil). Once in soil, I water enough to soak the soil around the root area and continue to spray the leaves with RO water for at least another week. I'll start Nutes 1 week after being in soil. The pics are from various times I've cloned. I always take a couple more clones than needed just in case. Hope this helps, good luck!

Thanks for the positive input appreciated.

Did you place directly into soil? If so what kind. Second yellowing of leafs is completely normal on clones and as a rule of thumb should never be removed. Do your self a favor and get some root riot cubes and place your cuttings in there. Then place the root riot cubes in a solo cup filled with dirt and water everything with pH'd water. Cut the bottom off of a clear two litre bottle and use those as individual humidity domes. Cuttings don't need much light. Keep your cfl about ten inches above the dome. Placed directly in Vigoro organic potting soil

I would kill off those cuttings you made and start fresh. Good luck bro

Yeah I did.

Magnesium and Sulfur(Epsom salts) in light foliar spray will green them up a bit. Honestly I keep Miracle grow on hand for veg when I have problems that I cannot pin down.
I use Vigoro & have some Epsom salts

Looks like human error.
Definitely my own.

Burgertime theyve just been cloned, i doubt theyre having a mineral deficiency locking out nitrogen and theyre in some type of soil so ph isnt really an issue unless your in coco like you run.
Spring water 7.8 pH

it looks like too much heat, water, and a mineral deficiency locking out Nitrogen. How is the ph?
Didn't have a pH pen then. I do now.

Hi Fang,
I'm with you on temps. I always use a heat mat under cloning tray. You said that the mother was a bit yellow when you cut the clones? That's a major issue right there. And I usually cut off all leaves except the top two. That minimizes transpiration rate. And I know many people clone in dirt...the one disadvantage of that is that you don't know what's happening. For dirt...I use Jiffy peat pucks. For hydro...small rockwool squares. That way when you see roots out of the bottom...you know to transplant into media. What I thought was a mother ended up being daddy. He died cause I had no room for him when I flipped. I'm getting better now with the cloning.

I think it's possibly too late for this...but you can foliar feed cuttings to keep them going till they root.
Good luck,
JD
They rooted just noobed them I know better now.

That's you in your avi? Cool don't slip.

can you take more clones?. I have discovered that if you pinch stems (crop) allow to heal and then cut clone below that knuckle the roots will form from that knuckle much faster than from your cuts.

I like that I'm gonna try on some of my seedlings when there ready. Thanks LGC for the 411.
