Legal Weed's Strange Economics in Colorado

Is it illegal to sell now?
What would change if they made it legal to grow and possess Illegal to sell?
And how would that be socialist?
Damn M8,

You would bitch if you got hung with a new rope. You see no good in the world at all (not that there is a ton to begin with) and go forth at great expense to drag despair and anguish along with you wherever you roam.
I see you as a beaten soul. Man what happened to your backbone?

You are consumed by your hatred for anything positive or uplifting, including individual's successes.

Bitter are your words of late and I see no changing in your tone without you doing some serious soul searching and locating your long lost compassion for life.

Best of luck in your future endeavors M8, you're going to need it.

Peace

PS: Growing weed is a great pastime, if you got the guts.......try it, I'll bet you like it.

Full legalization would involve Corporate involvement
The high pay trimmers get now isnt so much because of their skill. But more towards their discrepancy and the cost of the product.
Pay a trimmer 8 bucks an hour and watch how fast your weed gets ripped off as that would be the only reason for them to even accept the job at 8 bucks an hour.

Indoor grows will wilt away to outdoor mega grows using machinery and processing will be automated. Waste wouldnt be a big deal as the byproducts can also be processed and the raw materials would be cheap.

The major problems with full legalization and corporate involvement will be the elimination of the little guy, New laws and regulations they would lobby for, and restrictions on what the Home grower can do with the product they now produce.

Need examples?
Tobacco and alchohol

Some people still grow their own tomatoes. Some will still grow their own pot. Making something illegal to sell is just silly and will only continue prohibition. Why are you such a prohibitionist?

Prohibitionist?
Do I advocate not being able to grow use and possess?

My idea is real simple.
Make it legal to grow and possess no restrictions
Illegal to sell

Keeps the criminals, corporations and goverment out of it
And keeps it out of the hands of some who want it.

Please tell me how it keeps criminals out of it. Every person who doesn't want to grow their own and buy it instead, would be a criminal...so would the people selling it to them.

Legal to sell in Colorado. Look at all the restrictions. Even on people that don't sell

Here is what I decided. I'll never bring up my idea again. Weed is going to be legal. And at that time. I'll just sit back and laugh at all you guys complaining about the law

It doesn't really matter to me what the laws are. I'm going to do whatever I want to do anyways.

Cheezy's one of the few on this forum that put politics before principle.
I don't think he even grows, why the hell he's on RIU is beyond me.

I don't grow anymore.

We don't have basements, I live really close to a school, and I don't have the room anymore with 2 kids.

I have no issues with people that don't grow or smoke coming here. Some just want the drug war ended, some are just interested in the politics of weed legalization(that's why I started reading the politics section here. Thought it'd be about that. Boy was I wrong lol).

And in case the powers that be missed it: I follow all the laws of the great State of Texas. :)

He admitted the no grow... so, makes you wonder... what type of person comes on to a MJ growing forum and doesn't grow and wants to argue political BS at every turn...
What you call that type of person?
Bored... A douch.... LEO of some kind... a controller... Ass hole....
It gives me the right [in my mind] to skip every word he says...
I want to share ideas, with Pot growers... not those that don't grow...
I enjoy every ones opinions, from Uncle Buck to Uncle Ben... Because they grow....
Liberal... Rush lover... as long as you grow pot, I respect your opinion...
You grow... you get it...
I am a single focus voter... My agenda is legal pot...
Cheezy just doesn't get that... cause he doesn't grow...

You are right. I dont. Dont grow never have never will. Not until it is legal to do so
so in other words this bit is about as accurate and thought out as everything you post...

Like you, I don't mind people on the forums that don't grow, but I do take exception to those who make excuses for politicians undermining all the work many of us have made at the state level trying to get pot legalized.

Just saying.

That's incorrect. I do not like his views on how it should be legalized, but you keep forgetting something:

cheesus does want some legalization, just not the ability to sell it. That and he was here in the past as someone else and that person definitely grew.

Read the last sentence of my previous post. Some of us are in awful states for weed, and therefore have to watch ourselves more carefully. And no Mr. Perry, I do not grow weed. I follow all of your laws, sir.

Edit: should have quoted him, but that was to sand.

Bro, I think you misunderstood me, read my quote again.
If I was in Texas, I don't think I'd take a chance on growing but unlike Cheezy, my politics would remain the same.

I can tell you I don't grow. Never will until it is legal to do so. And where I am at we can't even get traction with medical. The fastest way in my opinion and many others in my state is legal to grow illegal to sell

Then, only people who have the resources, money and space to grow will be able to legally reap the benefits of cannabis.
Irrational and idiotic logic, not to mention the hypocrisy.
