What nutrient or ingredient in nutrients increases the final WEIGHT of the flower???
He's not confused.Lilroach you must be confused...in flowering, plants need much less nitrogen and more pk but the yield enhancers don't even have much pk anyway its usually magnesium that's heavy in those..btw feeding too much nitrogen in flower can cause the plant to herm
An interesting assertion on the need of N in veg vs. bloom.....I say this because there are several nutrient companies that do increase the N in their base nutrient system for bloom. But the P is lower and K is equal to N......The increase in the P&K doesn't come in until week 4 and the N remains the same due to it being in the "base".I agree some n is needed and your start to finish nute was believably an issue with the high k from the beginning but I mean its a common fact that a plant uses more nitrogen in veg and more pk in flower so I really was addressing him calling n "bloom foods" when most bloom bases contain less n than p and k with k being most prevalent..to much n in a flowering plant can cause a herm wether possible by overfeeding any nute or just overfeeding n was not something I disputed its just alot easier to overfeed n than anything else in flower
Sorry to disagree with you but I run a higher N formula start to finish 5-4-3 in coco. I have used 6-3-8.Too much N in flowering can delay flowering and make the plant too "leafy"......most people stop using enough N too early in flowering and the plant's health suffers because of it. Many experienced growers continue to give flowering plants a shot of N weekly (i.e. high N bat quano or fish fertilzer) until late in flowering for overall plant health.
