Try misting the oats a little and under cooking rice...instead of applying dry. I got at least a 1/4 inch layer in a week. I like the rice wash the best...it's even a deodorizer! I've got the best results with baby oatmeal sprinkled on top of VC. Coco flour is something I'd like to know more about. Sounds like it'd add some awesome diversity. Are you around any bamboo...that's also some great BIM!Any thoughts on adding coconut flour?
Coconuts have a ton of stuff amended soil already has. However it will provide enzymes! The coco nut water i buy locally has chunks of coco, i filter it and add it to my worm bins, in sure coco is a great additive!

While it would be faster to wet down the oats and under cook the rice....i dont really have to speed thingz up. I figure if the native soil holdz indigenous microbes and fungi that are present in the damp and/or optimal conditions given...they will inoculate/colonize the oats and rice at their own pace...also...i get lazy..this is (perhapz) a easy way to get my populations increased (...random theory )Try misting the oats a little and under cooking rice...instead of applying dry.
