Hey bro i love mexican food aswell , my dad's best friend owned a few mexican restaurants around hear .I love Mexican food.
My friend who is Mexican (half Mexican)Half German.Sometimes i call him beanershnitzel
He explained to me in Mexico depending on the region the food changes from one part of Mexico to another.
I find it a little odd though if you get a tamale from Mexico city will be different than one you might get in Tijuana.
My favorite is enchiladas smothered in tomato sauce and goat cheese with spanish rice and refried beans covered in goat cheese.Hot sauce and corn totilla chips with the meal.
My wife has a friend who lives in Australia a couple of years ago we sent her some things from the US that can not be had in Australia.
One was a giant bag of Reeses peanut butter cups.
Another thing they have never heard of in Australia to my understanding(correct me if im wrong) Is ice cream sandwich's,
I gotta ask. What kind of country doesnt have Reeses peanut butter cups and ice cream sandwich's?
Oh and by the way..the nice lady raved about the peanut butter butter also we sent her.
I dont think i could exist in a country without Reeses peanut butter cups or peanut butter.Id die.
All the goodies we Americans make with peanut butter probably do not exist in Australia.
We would all die there. Our bodys would shut down and go into shock without it.
The same as the Aussies get beer rations in the military so they dont shut down from DTs when they are in other countrys. Our guys get peanut butter in their rations.
Your pie did look great broI thought I did good on my pie!.....I really am blessed to live in the Lone Star State..it is an absolute melting pot, cornucopia, mixed bag of the best foods from around the world.Houston has some of the best food ever!!There are Chinese restaurants on every corner.Hell even our gas stations have great food!Just don't eat from a roach coach
Thought I recognized the hominy. That looks good especially on the cold days we're having lately.hey max420thc, I like mexican food too
last night, I made a mexican soup. Pork posole! It was really good, though I admit it doesn't look appetizing...but hey, its soup! Normally, the soup doesn't include lentils and barley but I added them for some substance. The yellow things are golden hominy. Theres also some diced tomato and jalapeño in there.
I cant wait for winter here so i can post some of my fav slow cooked meals !Cold as witches titty wearing a brass bra!!.....I will be making stew tonight with some sweet jalapeno cornbread
