Good morning all.

I hope that this is a good week for you all.

I was looking the plants over last night, looking for what
was making seeds on my plants, and I found the culprit:

A Close Up:

I am pulling this plant immediately.

I decided to put the Apollo 13 BX from TGA into the tent to flower.

This backcross uses Vortex to bring this breed back to life.

I can add that, just like TGAs Ace Of Spades, this plant did very, very
well in Veg and had a great start.

[h=2] Apollo-13 BX[/h]

Apollo-13 x Vortex

Representing thousands of hours of selective breeding we proudly offer our first back cross of Apollo-13. Pain staking care was taken in the male selection and the project to locate him took 60 plants and over a year of research. The high is instant and powerful yet also invigorating and inspirational. Most of my writing is inspired by the THC profile of Apollo-13 as it provides a boost of mental energy. Apollo-13 is so prized for its Red Bubble Hash that many growers dream of processing the entire plant into Hash.

Simply stated I feel this is the best Cannabis produced in Seed Form!
Phenotypes:The dominant variation is a mirror of the mother plant
Height:Tall thin Sativa look
Yield:Medium - very resinous and sticky
Indoor and Outdoor
Best way to grow:Easy to shape and train allowing any style of growing
Harvest:55-60 days
Sat/Ind:85/15
Hybrid:Apollo 13 is a cross between Genius and P75 (a precursor to C99)
High Type:The high is clear and cerebral, without a hint of paranoia
Taste:It's almost indescribable, like rotting fruit, citrus, and baby poo with a hint of pepper
THC %CBD %CBN %

I ran 6 seeds and got 1 good pheno the rest was total garbage. Inside or out, it's the only strain that I've grown that I didn't enjoy something about the smoke. I gave a friend the other 4 seeds and he didn't like it either. The outside plants did get big as all though. Just wasn't what I thought it would be considering it's "parents", but I am picky.

Damn! Were the seeds from GHSCo?

It was the Chemdog, from Greenhouse Seeds.

Here is the tent today:

Arjan fucked my crop! LOL

I have Chemdog X Lemon Thai Kush seeds too. I checked.

Now, it looks like one or two seeds in one or two buds, but
this is still annoying. I was going to let that Chemdog go another
two weeks at least!

Well, the Apollo cross and Skunk #1, that just got into the tent,
are two plants that got a very nice Veg. I have hopes, again. :0)

I hope the pollen is minimal man.... I had something similar in my perpetual happen not long ago, and it was pretty devastating, not to freak you out lol. I'm sure its fine!

A few seeds can't hurt and will be a nice surprise. You never know what you're gonna get from'em.

Hopefully most of them are barely forming when you chop a couple strains since you're pulling something pretty regularly.

My Jackberries that are finishing up are throwin bawz, but I'm not too worried about a few here and there, I usually don't even pull them.

Good luck JD!

Your care-free attitude is warming. :0)

I am not worried. If I made bucks and had to worry about grumbling,
then I would be more annoyed. I will set the seed aside because they
involve screwy genetics, but will label them and keep them.

I am taking out the new plant in the tent for a post-Kapow! rinse. I missed
this previously, and this stuff slowly crisped the leaves on a few plants.

I will try to get a good shot, as the Apollo 13 is very pretty.

Take care,

JD

Sounds like a good plan. BTW nice selection you have there, how many total strains are you kicking in there now? lol

I've REALLY been impressed by anything TGA. I have some homemade seeds of AoS x Vortex - Nugbuckets calls them Queen of Hearts. It might be the densest buds I've grown, which is weird because my Vortex is throwing some nice large buds, but they're not rocks like the QoH!

I grew Qrazy Train as part of one of my early grows.

It was one of my favorites, with a very special flavor, and
I would have kept it as a keeper, but I lost the clone. I was new. :0)

So, I fully concur on the quality of TGA Subcool breeds.

I am finding that both Ace Of Spades and the Apollo 13 cross have
wonderful structure and look to flower very well. (like QT did)

I like the node spacing of my Dog pheno very much too....and
the way that the flowers are setting up on the Sour Cherry look
like little roses, very pretty.

LOL, as to a full list of what is alive right now, it is practically
embarrassing....but I will compile one. Most breeds are in the
Sprout/Veg/looking for sex stage, or are vegging before they go
into the tent.

My primary source of pressure is the Vegging plants getting too big
at a point where a harvest is not upcoming. This requires trimming
and training. I am getting better at this.

Take care,

JD

I can relate JD, when doing perpetual I think we're even more inclined to try excessively different numbers of strains lol. I was up around 15 for awhile, got rid of a few and now I'm creeping back up towards that number again, haha.

From what I see of the Dog, it seems to produce well top to bottom. Most of them I've seen have significant node separation but it doesn't seem to effect the yield given the solid production under the canopy. I will get some one day!

Good morning all.

I am taking some pics this morning.

But first, I thought that you would find this interesting. I checked
the Seed Tray, to see if any clones were showing roots through the
bottom of the tray, and I saw that an Apollo 13 BX clone was ready
for it's beer cup.

When I took out the tray to remove the clone I noticed that the peat
that it was in was bone dry!

Dry Clone 1.jpg

No problemo!

Dry Clone 2.jpg

Have a great day all!

Here is the most recent addition to the tent, the
Apollo 13 Backcross with Vortex:
Apollo 13 BX.jpg

More TGA is coming up, but both Ace Of Spades and Apollo 13 got
pretty much perfect starts, in terms of where they are at in their
Vegging.

You might be seeing the crisping from the Kapow! Bass,
as the Apollo did not get as hungry as the Ace of Spades.

Now, the AOS is a hungry beast.

You can see that both it (the Apollo) and the Skunk #1,
that the wet-down with Kapow! has, again, crisped up some
of the outer leaves. I am hoping that it is worth the stress,
but it worked as far as a can tell.

I did shop-vac out the saucers and fed every plant yesterday.

I started with plain Compost Tea and fed just the Lemon Thai Kush
as it is finishing, then I added the Pro-Blend, Cal-Mag, Kelp, B-52,
and fed the young plants, then I added some Big Bud and fed the
Sour Kosher last.

They looked happy today. I will be dropping the AOS down,
and the Cheese Surprise too.

P.S. No, it's me...it was both of them...lol...I am finding that several
of my Vegging plants got thirsty. This happens very slowly during Veg
and I can miss it if no plant makes it obvious. :0(
