My first grow guys!

Oh I decided to hold off on the gsc probably, I'm going to grow out sage n sour, northern lights and darkstar clones for next grow, going to really veg out this gsc for this flower period (9 weeks) and next flower period from clone grow (8 weeks), then she will be a 4 month old monster, they are touchy also so soil is probably a better medium. Will run some other seeds for 4th grow, I have variety so want to try different strains.

Nice I bet that will be a monster lol
Yeh will be interesting. The clones I took act the same as the plant that was their mother so realistically I could flower them straight away although they would be very small cause of the size cuttings I took. If you veg them for a month you could have much higher yields, this is why people harvest every month with a larger flower room, but in my situation they will need to wait until the flower room is empty which is at least 7-8 weeks from now. Thankfully if I mess up flower now I would still have 6 clones running which I know are all fem. These plants should have a much higher yield cause clones veg out faster as they are acting the same age as their mothers and if nothing goes wrong I will have a sea of green to move straight into flower, then the GSC can have the whole veg cabinet to bulk out. I will put the pot on top of my DWC box and am going to run my 80w cfl and two side cfls 28w, so that should be enough light coverage to make a good size bush (going to have to measure the flower cabinet cause I am afraid if I bulk it out to much I wont be able to get her in there, haha).

Are you cloning the Kerala or just going to plant some of your fem seeds when your done?

I am guessing you flipped it already?

Will be really interesting to see the soil yields in a tent space v my hydro yields as your plants look much bushier and more tops than mine. I believe I messed a fair few things up which I am well aware of as my first time growing Hydro and it is much less forgiving than soil. I keep forgetting I have the plants outside also that are doing pretty well at the moment and as long as nobody nabs them in flower I can pull some buds from those to. That would be really interesting WWxS#1 hydro taste vs WWxS#1 outdoor soil taste, I never really had an opportunity to compare the same strain vs two different styles of grow medium.

Have you ever done that before?

Yeah today will be my first day flipped and I am just gonna plant the fem seeds next. I still have a kerala seed I figured this first grow I wouldn't try anything just try and get through the first grow lol and nope this is my first ever grow never been able to compare hydro vs soil. I can imagine there would be a difference though. Imo soil would be the way to go from the difficulty I hear hydro is lol so when do I start using my Buddha bloom? Do I still use the Buddha grow as well or just switch to bloom?

Bad thing bout outdoors is caterpillars eatn ur crops,if u can maintain them,u can get massive crops from them
Yeh all three stems have had something chewing at them near the base of the soil, so taped all three, got pyrithium spray back out again watered down this time and liberally applied that to all three plants tip to toe, also layed a whole bunch more pellets for snails and creepy crawly things. Hopefully this gives my plants enough time to recover from whatever was eating away at them and keep on slogging it out.

First week you can use a partial solution of Grow + Bloom if you want but many people just make the switch straight to flower nutes, entirely up to your preference Cdd

1 of my coworkers lost 7 plants 2 caterpillars last year, his neighbor bhind him had 65 plants they had critters hella bad and they flew n2 his crop n destroyed all his plants, hope u get ur problem taken care of,I wuld hate 4 u 2 loose ur plants 2 sum damn critters

@ cdd wutevr nutes u give ur plants go half strength wut bottle recommends,if it says 8 ml give them 5 ml,c how plants react to it if no nute burn then up the nutes, make sure u put them on a feeding schedule,I feed my plants on Wednesday then straight water on Sunday

I didn't change my ml it says 15 on bottle I've been giving them 5 the whole time :)

Seems to be working for you, when you get to your next grow a good idea is once you find a male in regular seeds you know you have 2-3 weeks at least before it's going to develop much more (in veg) so experiment with it, or you can do this on a clone of a female, it's a good way to find out how much you can push a plant with nutrients, trimming, training etc

Great idea I need to experiment. I think I have a ph issue with the kerala the leaves look kinda wrinkly, not bad, but that yellow in them kinda disappeared a little but Idk. I'm thinking I might have over nuted. They aren't nute burned but I have heard some sativas don't like a lot of nutes? But last time I checked run off it was 6.2...

Yep, helps you learn, but obviously do it on plants your not going to care about either dying or getting low yields, that's why I said clones or males, clones are better cause you can still get some yields if they don't hermie.

ph can go higher in flower, I'd say up to 6.5, so between 6.2-6.5 is fine. Ph does not relate to nutrients in terms of over feeding so much, if you added to many nutes you would get tip burn first then spreading down the leaves, usually under nutes show other symptoms directly to leaves.

Ph is more an over adjustment in water due to ph up/down and the ph content will rise after nutrients are added. I usually ph water before adding nutrients then check after adding, leave nutrients to stand in the water several days and the ph will naturally rise also. A good method is to prepare ph water in a container and airate over night, then adjust the ph again, add nutrients and water, you will notice those provides a more oxygenated supply to your plants increasing growth and nutrient uptake also.

Okay I'll try that. See I switched to tap water because I got tired of buying distilled lol so the water sits out a good while before I use it.

I think I'm gonna just use the Buddha bloom and not use so many bottles of nutrients lol try and keep it more simple

Well I just read a guys post on kerala and he said that his kerala kept a yellowish cast on the leaves the whole time no matter what so maybe that's just how it is Idk..

Sounds just like a genetic traight perhaps, if his yields were decent I mean.

I have issue with the little midgie bugs outside, that's what was eating my stems I think, have to go get some sand, cover the soil and buy some more fly traps otherwise I'll end up with dead plants (the joys of outdoor growing).

I feel ya remember the holes in my leaves well they are back again on more leaves Idk why I sprayed it with a dose of azamax foliar. I just got done soil drenching both plants Idk. It's just the kerala not the other one..

Sorry to hear about the holes, not sure can do much more than what you have already done, just wait and see if it gets better or worse.

Got some good news and bad, biggest plant is showing pre-fem, nothing on other and bad news is the middle one wilted and dead, guess the stem damage was to harsh.

Hopefully the other plant will do ok, its smaller still and slower growth. I put the traps and sand down so hopefully that will get rid of the midgets.
