It's not like they created the genetics, they got them from somewhere!
So once you take a strain, say from bodhi, and pollinate it, it is now yours, and fuck giving props to who you got it from, they just made money off you!!!

If i make an s1 from some seeds i spent good money for, then those s1's are my creation now, since i did the selecting and the pollenating.
Now if someone gave me a clone and i made s1's or regualrs, i would prop where i got my source from, but again....once you hit it with pollen, you now are the steuard of that strain.

Its all about who you know. There are some very legit clones in Michigan, but you are half right. Many bullshit ones too .

Not to sidetrack the conversation, but you are correct. I've kinda fell out of the scene so to speak to focus on my garden. Too many people didn't know what they have and I ain't one to want to deal with foreign pests any time soon. Had to take up using a pesticide which I wasn't thrilled about. I use to see a lot of people making the scene into a money grab which really turns me off.

No, you don't have "green crack" you have a selfed plant. I guess it's not a stretch to call it that, but when you are seeking clone onlys, it is not what you are looking for.

I got to walmart to buy my child some toys. I see some they still have, that i had when i was a child. I get all excited, buy them and go home to play with my son! I get home, take out something to play with(say link-n-logs), dump it out of the box.............and realize this isn't the same quality; the wood is junk, the stain comes off in your hand, and the pieces don't fit together nice n tight.
Now they call them link-n-logs, but it is an imposter of the original!

Just like with the clone your talking about.....yes it's "green crack", bot a knock off of the original. It's all about morals, if you will be truthful and say" it is a green crack hybid" or something. At least he told you its origins. Probably some people telling someone it's the real deal sour diesel, when it came from a fem! That would suck!

That's a fair point. I've often mentioned my fondness for FoS CheeseDom, and probably did so at the start of this thread. It's not entirely a 'what if', as two of the 'what ifs' just hit the fem bloom tent. Top r is Dr Underground Melon Gum [ Soma Lavender x Serious Bubblegum ], to it's left Soma Somango. These were slowed by the severe cold during veg [ no way to heat the reservoirs...you can imagine how the roots hated the cold liquid ], but have regained vigor and most of the color. You can still see some 'puffy' type fan leaves about middle down. In the foreground is the CheeseDom [TGA CheeseQuake x Exodus].



Let me add.....I almost never travel out of this area of RIU. I never thought about it before now, but there are several 'regulars' in this section of RIU that I've gotten accustomed to reading. The question is mostly aimed at those people because of the respect I've gained for their opinions [ organics AND chem...lol ]. Hope the photos make it more appropos for the neighborhood.

Let the conversation flow - tangents are usually cool and informative when they don't get bogged down by 'Autos Rock' and grow style arguments that add nothing to what we all have already read or typed.

Maybe it's just due to my fascination with cannabis and my desire for organized data, but it pisses me off. Yes he was honest, probably because he was an idiot to the idea of clone onlys. Had the same problem with people selling chems. Asking questions such as which one? where did you procure it? Hesitation and even worse "seeds" is simply misrepresenting a highly desired clone. Really that's why I went to beans. At least I could get killer genetics in a cross instead of who knows what from who knows where.

See I grow in a small place, but I have a separate veg area and can easily just remove the male and move in another plant. The whole closet is used for cannabis. only flowering plants need to be in my tent. never understood vegging in tents unless you absolutely had to. All you need for vegging is a t5 or something similar. doesn't take much. So at best one spot is tied up for about a week maybe two in the event a male is present. Also I've sexed plants in smaller containers for the first run so it makes it easier. Perpetual for the win.

When you have a dislike...people want to know!

You don't think he can select elite males? He tests most of his crosses before releasing + if not he lets you know in the description.
I've had great results with his strains, very similar plants with enough variation to find what your looking for.

He has some new males that are being tested now that I'm more interested in than SL or Appy.
There are some breeders that will continue to use the same old dudes and never search for new ones.
