My water out of the tap is around 8 currently. In the hotter months it would come out 7. I think its a seasonal thing

that was my other guess haha just never noticed it til now. Id love to know what really causes it.






That FB looks nice DR. Ive wanted to get the cherry puff or one of the other few cherry pie crosses for a while but havent brought myself to do it.



What were you goin for with the cross? Bring some yield into the alien family??



Cherry pie is such a nice blend of potency, yield, and flavor as well as the high being perfectly strong but uppedy not couch locky. Ive been huntin for a while for a suitable seed. Hopin HSO would S1 it but who knows. One day though the cookie fam is supposed to be puttin out seeds and hopefully theyll have some real deal cherry pie seeds along with all the others like gsc and durb and snowman. But who knows how long thatll be.

not my cross Genuity made the f1 top pic is his and DST did the f2 and i got them with my BB order. i have 11 cherry puff f2 G did just behind the BB gear. i am working on Alligator Kush the f1's are in flower and my male if in veg for when i pick my female. they are making me proud for shore.

Yeah we had some come through not too long ago and it was perfect all around. Hopefully they root!!! thats probably the only thing on my strains list i really need since this DOG should be the nice chemy kushy stuff that i like. I miss the cherry pie so much! The guy who grew it also had a banana og cut that was NASTY! Straight sleep no matter what time of day haha. Had you stuck.

I remember the aligator kush when i was thinking of what FB could have been. Sounds nice. Hopefully those cherry puffs F2s turn out bangin. What were the phenos like?

Yeah BPs are probably gonna be my next BB order. Probably not any time soon since im messin with the DOG and am already gonna have a problem with bananas without having reg beans to deal with. But soon id like to run em. Maybe when they F4 them or somethin because they said they left it at F2 so you could get more variety and alot of their strains are F4s.

All i can think about now is cherry pie though.

Sounds good bring in some of the yield from the cheese genes combined with the resin from both the fireballs and cheese should make a solid plant.

I wish i had the time/room to put into breeding. Can not wait to flower these DOGs though! Im almost more excited for the trim. All my plants i usually grow are stacked but only on the sugar leaves and not too much on the fan leaves. Its nice because i dont have to sort through fan leaves but it seems like the DOGs fan leaves have as much sugar as the sugar leaves!!! Gonna make some nice bho.

Hell yeah! My hog i grew had SUPER frosty sugar leaves more than ive seen on other plants but still not too much fan leaf frost haha.

Once you make BHO don youll never turn back. One of the quickest/best ways to make concentrates. Just make sure you purge it enough!

i'm not buying that vac purge gear, i'm just going to cook it down properly then add ethanol and filter it. Absolute amber is what i'm going for but brown shatter will suffice

Color has more to do with the strain. Some strains turn a darker red but will be clear as glass, others turn more yellow gold amber. haha Also has to do with whether youre using trim or buds or both.

Also, you can get clear shatter without dewaxing. Dewaxing just helps the cough/smoothness of the hit but strips a tiny bit of flavor. Its more about the temperature. Dont go over 115-120. Stay around 100-110 while you vac and it should come out crystal clear.

If youre doing the thermos method you shouldnt need ethanol. If you leave it in the thermos it should cool itself down cold enough to be able to dewax but when going through the coffee filter it may warm up so make sure you get all of your equipment cold! Set it in the freezer for a few days.

As for vac purging its always good. I got a break bleeder that allowed me to pull 25-27 in/hg and purged my bho/iso well enough to make it shatter/clear. So i assume youre gettin better equipment than that.

but either way youll have some good shit! Id go with the straight bho no ethanol just vac purging. I like the little more flavor and the "wax" you take out has some flavas in it as well it is a little more of a hassle to do.

Last but not least. DO NOT PUT ANY SOLVENT IN THE FREEZER. butane cans are ok but if you dewax get some sort of dry ice and do it in a cooler. People have been blowing up their houses by putting ethanol/butane filled pyrex dishes in the freezer and the "defrost" cycle kicks on and boom!

no dude you didn't get me, i'm noit getting any vac purging gear at all i'm just going to cook my shit properly.

I'[m basi8cally making a batch of bho then letting ti evap, heating it til i get all the bubbles out then adding the ethanol and pouring it into a strainer.

butane i could understand blowing your sealed unit but ethanol shouldn't at all. it doesn't expand at all besides it's cold enough for me to do that bit in the porch!

As for ethanol explosions it happens here in the states on a pretty regular basis. haha with all the legalization.

There may not be alot that evaps but it only takes a little especially when its 95% or higher. haha

Best thing is to use nature!!! Its cold enough for me to do it outside too. I usually use dry ice and a cheap styrofoam cooler.

Also, when you pour your butane out of the thermos you should just pour through your strainer instead of redissolving into ethanol.

Just my 2 cents from past experiences. Want to keep your solvents down to as few as possible because ethanol strips some flava.

BB, I feel your pain. I fucked my lovely led grow by mistakenly adding too much micronutes.

Burned the shit out the leafs. At first I thought it was due to my lowering the led ~ 6". In retrospect, that may have played a role, but I am fairly certain it was the hot nute mix. You can see the leafs are burned from inside, also dry and brittle

Here they are, although late in bud, they are bouncing back. New lush green tiny leafs near the tops of the buds, plus new healthy pistils

FYI, I think the reflectors is da bomb. now if the COBs were NW + WW I'd be in heaven

Damn that thing got fried!!! I like the lack of lens although i think in the future you will see them combined. along with the whites.

Imagine having 2-4 of the cobs being white with 90 degree lenses along with the mixed spectrum chips without lenses. This might not work because with lenses you have to have a minimum distance from light to plant top so it might not help having to keep them so far away then having ones without lenses.



I cant wait for the efficiency to increase even more. i think the best are operating around 35-45% efficiency and within 5 years or so were supposed to be closin in on 90+% efficiency. Thatll be so nice! especially once they get super cheap to make. Thats really the last hurdle left to conquer imo. Drop the price and everyone would give one a try.

it's all good BB, heat is the enemy in this game. I'm just going to let it evap naturally depending on how pushed for time, i may use a water baths for the initial boil off of the butane but once it's down to bubbling i'll probably just put the pyrex in the bubbler/crockpot( to you guys) on the keep warm sitting for a good while.

when that's done i'll then add the ethanol just enough to turn it back to liquid then through a coffee filter into pyrex and let it dry naturally. i don't expect it to be amber mind...

slow cooker is awesome! i make weed caps by mixing hash into coco fat then put them in a pyrex in the there. drip it into caps and freeze. i've seriously fucked up a couple of guys though lol.
