Oops! I'm on a netbook, voted before I found out which terpenes were involved. Because I like cannabis terpenes. Big fan. In the case above, no, I would not. I can't seem to change my vote though.

It all depends on what terpene's are in the oils. I personaly make oils with added pinene in them, it makes the flavor and smell almost like a weed field in a pine forest and the pinene has been proven to help fight the same cancer's that many canabinoids do.

I have also made Oils with added limonene in them as well, but this was for a specific patient who had a lung infection and needed anti-microbial med's....

Alpha-pinene (essential pine oil), the most common terpene in the plant world and one often found in cannabis,
Myrcene, another terpene present in numerous cannabis varietals, is a sedative, a muscle relaxant, a hypnotic, an analgesic (painkiller) and an anti-inflammatory compound.
Limonene, a major terpene in citrus as well as in cannabis,
Linalool, a terpenoid prominent in lavender as well as in some cannabis strains,
Beta-caryophyllene is a sesquiterpene found in the essential oils of black pepper, oregano and other edible herbs, as well as in cannabis
Around 200 terpenes have been found in cannabis
200 Different terpenes NATURALLY occur in marijuana plants.... this article has nothing to do with "added" turpene's, it talk's about how terpene profiles show that some companies (AKA Greenhouse seeds...) Are a rip off and just re-naming other peoples strains....

read the whole article.... its fairly simple.

The fish trap exists only because of the fish.

We have always had blended jug wines and fine vintage Grand Crus, so I think there is room for both. Not everyone has discriminating palates, nor the resources to produce or buy premier extracts.

I'm willing to let our collective palates and pocket books dictate the market, as long as I can reserve the right to pick and choose for my own use, and of course I personally choose the creme ala creme, given the opportunity. Hee, hee, hee, snicker, snark, snort, awhooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!..........

And of course, I also like purdy women, fast cars, boats, and planes, fine wine and liquors, and fine cuisine, but limit my consumption to what I can make, afford, or lay hands on.

What I not flexible on, is retained solvents, parasites, and pesticides. Regardless of who makes it, there has to be a level of quality maintained that is safe.

I'm also big on truth in labeling, so if you do step on the meds, it should clearly state so on the packaging, so that those who care, can avoid it.

FINALLY!!! Someone with reason... i love how 90% of the people here cant even read, they see the title to an article and cant make a decision on their own based on the knowledge they are given, more people need to actually read and be accepting about NATURAL things...

Pesticides, solvents, parasites and mites... these are the kinds of things that no-one wants in their oils....

Fixed it....

Maybe I worded the original post somewhat biased sounding, but it seems like mentioning that you infuse your concentrates will cause an automatic reaction without much thought. Maybe those companies doing it knew that and wanted you to try without the preconceived notions (I always give people the benefit of the doubt), but then again maybe they were being shady and trying to keep a secret that should never have been kept.

thanks to FD I have been using syringe filters and after asking around I'm shocked at how many people know nothing about it.

Fuck no I wouldn't buy terpene infused hash oil. My oils got terps, but the terps that are from the weed. Terps are found in many different plants, so the terps from lemonene aren't what I'm looking for when some numb nuts is thinking they're the same. You guys crack me up.

I don't want diluted, stepped on concentrates. Stuff like this is horrible for the industry.
Depending on the process it will still be more potent than most concentrates.

There is a good reason that this can potentially be a good idea.

Say your average shatter or wax is 15% lipids, waxes, etc. If you remove those then your left with an absolute which will be 15% stronger. Problem is in making the absolute you've likely just stripped away most/all your terpenes. If you then reintroduce terpenes at a 5% solution now you've got an oil which is going to be 10% stronger than you're average shatter/wax but still have a rich terpene profile.

That isn't deluding it or stepping on it IMO. In theory it could be a superior concentrate.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. My beliefs regarding this subject matter are 180 degrees from yours and won't change. I do not agree with adding anything that didn't come from cannabis.

IMHO, the only defense for your position is an agenda rooted in defending profit.

Also, a bottle of Limonene in the hands of the unscrupulous extract "artist" suddenly becomes worth $30 a gram or more. Again, not cool. That's just greedy.

If your gonna cut the oil, label it and sell it cheaper.

I do not make these products. I just see how potentially it would be a good idea.

If you look at it from the point of view of developing a superior product then it seems like stronger and better tasting wins.

The same things you're saying about these concentrates are the same things a lot of people say about ALL concentrates. It's just being stuck in the past IMO.

So the terpenes were extracted from a different source. What's the difference?

Who's really worried about defending profits here?

Lets not start doing what street heroine and coke dealers do. Adding weight to the product in order to make more profit.

Whoever adds weight to oil and doesn't reduce price.

We are talking about a significantly more expensive product to produce that results in LOWER overall weight because it's removing the plant waxes and lipids.

Things cost what people are willing to pay for them. They are not a reflection of production costs. If people will pay $100 a gram for it then that is their choice not yours. You don't get to tell people what they can pay/charge for things. The market decides that.

This has nothing to do with adding weight and you know it.

You can't argue facts so you make things up and use inflammatory rhetoric in order to scare people.

When you make remarks like that I've already won the debate.
