That's how my set up is. I used a small box from work, I think you remember the big deal everyone made on the other contest about how it said 30 oz and no one believed me it was just the box lol. It was so hot it hermed and stressed everything to be male so I cut holes in the top and sides to vent. It's now really nice temps in there but full of holes so I throw a blanket over top to keep light out. Apparently the flaps of the holes and vents keep the blanket off enough so they don't bake and now I have 3 lovely ladies and 2 I don't know yets

Yeah...i dont really have a problem with heat...actually need a bit of heat in there although the 5630's are a bit hotter then the 5050 diodes...

Towel workz well...and if i have been working in my garden...it doubles as a clean up aid... :D

That does sound good. I'm thinking of converting my dresser into a microgrow and I have a suitcase I will use as well. The problem is I can't change my cabinet to the suitcase cause once again too hot with the 300w cfl I chose

I'm sure you may have covered this, but just wanted to make sure you know. When wiring up the SMD strips, if you want the strip to consume more than ~50W (because of resistance someway or another), you have to break it up into lengths and wire it in parallel with your power source - 1M lengths should suffice. Otherwise, despite the rating on your power source, you're only going to be using 50W or so per 5M strip. Sorry if you already know this, just wanted to make sure.

Root nubs on my kandy kush. No gel no powder nothing. No heat mats no blah-de-blah-de-blah. Just a rusty razor and some peat pods. I will keep her in the pod for now the put her in a solo cup when I'm positive she will live. This is my entrant, barring suicide

Saturday update :) so one of the three plants I entered turned out to be a boy plant trying to decide if I want to try and get some pollen from him because I really like this strain and growing from seed docent bother me at all or possibly maybe I might just cut it down and smoke it up or make a cake or something. The Miracle Grow Organic plant is so much smaller I bumped up the green tea and pine needles and that seemed to help keep the growing and development going but she is still allot smaller but other wise seems healthy enough so fingers crossed with that one. The so so happy party cup plant is so so pretty her leafs are like dark but not to much just healthy like I have a good feeling about that one. I have been collecting rain water the last few weeks and using for the plants and I do notice a difference in them they really like it they seem healthy and happy. Happy growing everyone loving the updates this grow off is going to be great looking forward to smoke reports maybe we can do an Oovoo or Skype session or something with everyone and toke it up while we BS hahaha that would be pretty funny lol

Cheerz bruv...just getting back from a break from guff...

That is useful information....i decided to not break them up into lengths as i couldnt be arsed soldering them to wire..(as my soldering skills are crap!)

I should run a meter on it...to see what the consumption is....i am using 6A rated power supplys at the moment...

I got my lights on Ali-express or ebay....search for '5630 led strip' (on either site) They come in 5 metre rolls...then you want a '5-6 amp power supply'

Throw me a PM if you have any difficulties or you want to know more . :)

It's showing some Cal/Mag deficiencies so I'm getting some egg shells and epsom salt in the mix tomorrow as well.

My LSD just popped right before I took these pix but it wasn't even standing yet. I planted it and put them both in the garbage can so we will see how it's doing tomorrow night.

Unfortunately I lost power about 24h ago and there's no estimate on when it will be back on.....so if they're still alive when I get back to them this weekend I'll continue, but if not you'll know why I stopped posting =(
