doublejj Carport Greenhouse discussion thread

I bought this text book to explain the CO2 process.........$185!!!:o
"Synthesizing research from a wide variety of sources, this work offers a convenient guide to a clean, safe, inexpensive, non-toxic, non-polluting solvent that performs better than most conventional solvents. Natural Extracts Using Supercritical Carbon Dioxide reviews recent development in the technology and its applications to the food, flavor, fragrance, and pharmaceutical industries. It outlines the many advantages the method has over traditional methods like steam distillation, solvent extraction, and molecular distillation and it supports the popular trend toward the use of natural products in these industries."

hahaha i remember lurking in that thread lol maybe the one right after... you killed that one.. hahaha

a wise man told me you gotta love those "quality problems" lol

Now that is a pile of worm castings!!!! Not a bad price either. I had to pay $30 for a 1.5 cf bag.

We hit 50 degrees yesterday up here in the EverGreen State! Woo Whoo spring is on it's way!!!!! Time to start collecting stuff to convert my metal covered carport to a sun collecting carport!

Spring is almost here. Time t get busy.
I hate to tell you but it's supposed to hit 80 here this weekend......

Beautiful crop double jj
i have a question about the plastic "cage" you have around the girls
last year the only issue I had was support. The wind ended up knocking my girls sideways
I ended up using a few stakes and PVC to tie the girls to to keep them up.
any tips to keep this from happening this year.
and is your "cage" for support? And if so what is it exactly

I used several layers of support. There's a re-mesh wire cage and then Horti-trellis. You can't see them in the pictures, the plants grow thru it....The PVC was used to hold up sheet plastic....

Hey thanks!! I really appreciate the pics
what is horti trellis?
i was thinking something similar to the wire cage.
but figured when the plants hit 5-7 feet (which is about my limit) then it almost becomes unusable, and isn't really helping

im using some 10 gallon smart pots
and a few 25 gallon buckets. If that means anything.

Horti trellis is that plastic netting you see in the pictures. You drape it over the plant for support. My plants got so big I had to make a gizmo to apply it, kind of a big PVC pitch fork. lol....

freakin cool to reminisce a little bit...... 229 for the carport?? thats not bad at all about how much you got into the carport greenhouse after its all said and done??
