Hmm.. No. This is nonsense. You're not foliar feeding, by accident, are you?
Only add nutrients to the root area
If spraying the foliage (for humidity)
use only PURE water (EC0.1 at the max).
This way the roots have no choice than to go search for nutrition.
I had 24 cuttings remain without roots for over 3 weeks
because I was misting the prop dome with nutrient water....
You live, you learn.
The cannabis plant is a resilient organism. It doesn't matter if you mist your foliage with coconut water, vegetable juice or nutrient water. As long as you provide the proper environmental conditions for the plant to calcify and root at the cellular/ subsurface level( easily achieved via prop domes or aerocloners), and ensure that you have a proper O2 to water ratio either in an aerocloner, peat plugs, rockwool, etc, then nothing else is relevant.
Further, nutrients are not necessary during cloning until the foliage itself just starts to show signs of depletion, or you have multiple, visible roots..Adding nutrients to the surrounding areas of the cut site only inhibits your chances at success, since your left with stagnant salts if there are no roots to uptake and utilize said nutrients. I use straight ph'd water until I have visible roots. Can't remember the last time I lost a cutting after years of taking multiple trays every few weeks
