i will do a flush with 7 ph water. and ill look for new nutrients. these numbers are confusing 3-0-3 or 1-0.5-3 etc. in a simple way what should i look for when buying nutes?
all natural no toxic what ales? thanks everyone for taking the time i will hopefully be able to pay forward.
It depends where you are located.. In Nor-Cal, we have a large selection of fertz for rock-bottom prices. If you are in Europe, a fert we might suggest could wind up costing you wayyy more than you wish to spend, and we agree..

Jay'dawg is hitting every work with 100% accuracy. some really good and down-to-earth advice.

regarding an additive, the soil you use should have 90% of what a plant can use. I have noticed a general rule-of-thumb that I get about 1 ounce per gallon of soil. No nutes are needed, just water. This is what I did in the past.. It really is the fault of a hydro-store guy trying to sell something the soil has already given you.

if you want me to recommend something, try Earth Juice if you can get it cheap and use 1/4 or 1/2 mix. Earth Juice is made a few miles from where I live and I know some of the workers. lol.. but, ya know..

lastly, i would recommend a soil/perlite mix and stay away from all fertilizers. :) Learn a few crops before you inject fert into fresh soil.

isnt promix a soiless medium, i run general hydro 3 part which is good for the whole lifecycle of the plant, i think by just doing the grow part a and b and not the bloom part a and b ur haveing problems u need to get the bloom nutez, i think flushing is a good idea and get a bloom nutez i have been running gh 3 part 4 years now and no problems just have to check ph so u dont get any nute lockouts

man i hate amazon.ca little selection. amazon.com wont send to canada

lol.. ebay? You will not need veg fert if you are using a fresh batch of that Pro-Mix soil. In fact, I doubt you will need bloom fert with that soil unless you grow a stalk the size of your arm in a 4-gallon bucket (4mo+ healthy in veg).

I would say to use only water and that soil has plenty of fert in it to grow a 4 month old plant in 2 gallon or 3 gallon containers. make sure your water is good and not more than 300ppm of TDS. You may need only 1 or 2 boosts in mid-bloom with that soil, nothing else as long as the pots are large enough.

I have grown 5ounces in a 1gallon container but it is a bitch to keep in order, everything has to be perfect. Larger potting containers with soil is usually more forgiving so long as your hydro-shop guy does not poison your chit.

its making more sense. i really thought promix has no nutrients at all. just to make it clear i should try no nutes? just use the soil?

If you don't use nutes I recommend micos or some other form of beneficial bacteria to get the root system vigorous.

I wrote other stuff.. forum java getting weird. Hopefully I can now edit? I remember what I was saying again. lol.. Over watering, over fert, too much heat, ect.. a few problems.. I think I see ammonia toxicity. anyway, remember, Always wait until the potting container goes through light and heavy cycles. A "wet" bucket will weigh 5x more than a "dry" bucket. Canna does not like being kept constantly wet or dry, try to keep it in the middle and go through cycles.

you don't need ferts with that, try without ferts and added salts. You can boost the bloom cycle with a few shots of Earth Juice Bloom or some, "non-salt based" additive.

If you don't use nutes I recommend micos or some other form of beneficial bacteria to get the root system vigorous.
check that stuff out, it's filled with fertz and fungi!

Hmmm... well THAT pro mix has nutes. I always used regular promix because it has no nutes. I don't like starting with anything in my grow medium
