feeding miracle gro all purpose to weed plants

Nice feedback. Those photos show a normal seedling.
I see a bit of discoloration, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Suggestions from me include:
1. Be sure that when you spray the top of the soil, make sure it saturates deeper into the cup.
2. If the closet is enclosed, a simple fan blowing on them will not be enough fresh air when it gets bigger. You will need to set up a proper ventilation system, that allows fresh air into the cab, and exhausts the heated stale air out.
3. Soil with time released food are tricky to deal with, when you transplant into bigger pots, get better soil.
If this is the soil you are using, now:
Green Thumb Professional Potting Mix (2 Cu Ft Bag)

A premium all purpose potting mix for houseplants and outdoor use. New water absorbing formula containing Canadian Sphagnum and other horticultural ingredients.
- Contains time release plant food
- Ready to use – no mixing required
thank you for the feed back and yes that is the soil im using planing on get some better soil when i transplant them, and i know that i need a proper air ventilation when they get better.when should i start feeding them ?

miracle gro is fine for now, but for god's sake, feed and water that plant!!!

fading means the apical growth is drawing from the largest leaves; it's hungry.

don't let it dry out, let it nearly dry out. maintain and sustainable uptake at all times.

as to the mg; read the directions. if you don't have directions, look it up online (google). feed it with the next watering and it will start to blow up.

Since your plant is 15 days old, it should have a sufficient root system to begin taking up nutrients. You can feed it now, but as I stated in my earlier post, those time release things in the soil are tricky to deal with. you dont want to over feed them. Try feeding at half strength to be on the safe side.

im gone start feeding them at 1/4 strength of it and see how they react to it and how often should i feed them, every time i water them or once a week ?

Not every time you water. But it really depends on when she needs it, keep your eyes open for issues, and mostly you want to set a schedule and pull back from it if you notice any over feeding issues.

i need help,im trying to figure out how much i need, the directions tells me to mix 1/2 teaspoon per two quarts of water,i have a gallon of water, 4 quarts = a gallon so i would mix 1 full teaspoon of it into the water but i have to only use 1/4 of that,so how would i do that?

Are you asking me to do the math for you? Can you not figure out 1/4 of 1 tea spoon? most measuring spoons have that unit on it, the 1/4 teaspoon....

lol I know, right? but then again, im sure most of riu has told him stay away from miracle grow too..funny that a person would opt not to take "the general consensus" of a forum lol

everyone else, no offense to those who are trying to help him down his chosen path of poor to mediocre results its very admirable. that's really cool of you guys to try to help him, and i mean that. But really it sounds like he is not reading or trying to learn at all and just counting on you all to grow his plants, IMHO. And I can bet he will get poor results due to his experience and dependence.

If you're going to use big-boy retailer's shelf soil, or if you're dead set on MG, give MG Organic Choice a try. A good amount of people here at RIU have claimed success with it, just don't expect pest-free soil when you run organic.

Sadly, I have to agree with that. There are some people who say "If you can't afford an HID, an inline fan, and top of the line grow equipment, you can't afford to grow." I've ALWAYS disagreed with that assessment. You can grow for very cheap, and with easily obtainable house hold items. But the one thing I do whole heartedly agree with... is that; "If you don't have time to do the reading, then you truly don't have time to grow." The end.

I ran it years ago when I was not even within a hundred miles of a decent garden supply. mg organic choice just has the basics (composted Forest products,spaghnum,etc...) then I ordered the lighter stuff that could be shipped (guanos, worm castings, meals, etc) and made the organic choice into reasonable medium. but I agree, has to be ORGANIC CHOICE and add some natural manures and meals..

As I stated. My fertilizers are currently the same ones. MG All Purpose 24/8/16, MG Bloom at 15/30/15, and some Peters: All purpose 20/20/20. But i'm about to start my new job in a few days at a star nursery. ;) (for those who don't know, it's a plant store) And they carry all the soils (Fox Farms), nutes (more fox farms, as well as numerous others) and things I could want. My job will be to care for the plants. (which is exactly what I was hoping for. :D )
So with any luck, my employee discount will get me some new nutrients before my plant even needs them. I just transplanted my month old lady into some Fox Farms Ocean Forest, so she should be fine for another month or so, and by then, she should (hopefully) be a week or 2 into flower.
Before I had the ocean forest, I was using Miracle Grow potting soil as well, and before THAT I was using USED Ocean forest, which let me tell you... was a disaster.
You ever used PREUSED soil? Well don't... it's a nightmare of pH imbalance and unhappy plants.
So she's seen her share of soils. Once she's fully adapted to the FFOF though, I expect she'll really take off in growth.
OP needs to do some SERIOUS reading if he's going to make it as a grower. Expecting people on the forum to grow for him just isn't going to work out like he wants it to.

Feed it whatever amount it needs, and whenever it needs it. You will learn to read your plants.
As I said earlier, (and this is the last time I will tell you) Soil with time released nutes are tricky to deal with. One day your plant will be deficient in something, and the next day, it will be overfed. You can't rely on a feeding schedule with those types of soils.
As the other guys in this thread are saying, you need to read more about what is truly needed to grow. Drop a few bucks on the right stuff. You can grow with cheap soil, but expect problems and a constant battle to keep your plants alive.

Yeee, people just need to stop being lazy with their soil ;)
