You know guys, when I switched to Hempy I said nothing can be easier. I was wrong, a few weeks into my grow a friend sent me an article on the Lucas Formula. I found it interesting so with a little research I found lucasformula.com. I am now using the GH Maxibloom dry produce at 7 grams per gallon. The only thing extra I may add is Cal/Mag but the Maxibloom has Cal and Mag in it's formula. I have had no nute burn, no apparent deficiency and I am only 10 to 12 days from harvest.
A few weeks back I was talking to my buddy and he said he noticed a nute buildup in his Hempy so I decided to do a flush. With the hole and stopper I put at the base of my buckets this was very easy to do. I plugged the drain hole filled the buckets with pH'ed water and let them sit for about 5 minutes. I then removed the stopper and let the buckets drain, I caught run off from all three buckets and was shocked at the ppm. It was over 1500, I never feed the plants anything over 950 ppm so I ended up flushing them each three times till the ppm was under 150. The funny thing is I've seen no signs of nute stress either lack of or abundance of nutes. I did begin checking my ppm and pH every time I feed and watered from then on. I have not seen anything higher than what I used that feeding. Next grow I believe I will flush the buckets a few times during the grow, at least once during vegging, right before I go to 12/12 and a big flush a few weeks before harvest.
As I said above the only problem I really had was my error during my mainline training I cut too much off just before the start of 12/12. Going to cost me some weight but I am not dissatisfied with the grow overall.
Here are a couple of pics from day 52 of 12/12.
