any of you kiwis grow your own shrooms? i have access to some imprints of a few different species, probably going to give it a try soon

The wood loving species around here aren't so easy to cultivate indoors from spores and i've never tried importing prints from a species that can grow on a vermiculite based substrate but i think they'd probably be easier to get through than seeds. I might try and transplant some of the mycelium one day when i have a bigger backyard.

Any kiwi know where I can buy seeds, just been growing baggies. Pm?

I've used SOS and herbies, i'll stick with herbies now for the freebees even though sos stealth was a little better.
Hopefully they'll do better stealth next time.

i've seen their stealth on that boarder patrol program during a seizure.

I used a prezzy card once. It works like a credit card so it should work with most places that accept visa but you can only top it up once. I'm not doing that again, no point paying the $6 when you can get a debit card for $10 a year with the first year free. It's not like it says 'Cannabis seeds' on the bank statement.

go with herbies for sure, way faster than any other ones I've used including attitude and SOS.

split the stem of the shroom in half and run the back of your thumbnail down the exposed flesh to bruise it.
if it turns blue your good to go. if it turns brown no no no.

Dimebong - do you know if any shrooms grow in tauranga? I've got access to a pine block around here and I've seen lots of fungi/shrooms popping up in this warm weather but have no idea if they're the right ones.

They're all over the country, and pretty abundant. If you look hard enough in the right spots you should find some when it gets
a bit colder and wetter. It took me two hours of searching around local council flax plantations to find a patch last season that noone else has been touching.

Auckland have heaps up woodhill and out west. We've had a shitload of rain lately. I wonder what species are around here?.

Yeah man I had to harvest my Panama's yesterday because of rot. Plants can't handle 10 days of wet conditions when they're about to be finished, lucky I got to them yesterday before it was all gone. It's a shame too because one of them was really starting to purple up.

Na hermies are just annoying and dangerous to other people plants too. Yeah some of Ace's limited editions sound pretty sweet at the moment like fatty bubba and zamal hash. Just go with herbies pick n mix, just don't go ordering over 40 seeds - better to split them up into seperate orders.
The winds completely had the Malawis on the ground yesterday and would have snapped if i'd tied them up, still no rot on them.

Yeah hopefully they change it back. the breeder reckons the next 3 weeks will be bud production and the next 3 after that resin production.
Taskenti is a nice smoke, real smooth. Indoor I went to 65 days but probably needed another week. I had a 35cm buds lol I'll upload some pics later today. average yield was 4 ounces but that's only a first run with it. I'm introducing new blood into the room for a change, I've got a black domina x g13 that looks amazingly short and stocky with huge afghani leaves, and Orient Express from Ace which is a chinese yunnan x vietnamese black.

Next year I think I'm going to go hard with clones instead of seeds, definitely growing Panama cuttings as they've got the potential to produce a shit load on a good season. I'll probably go with Orient express too for yield.

Ill attach some pictures of my bud, I dunno what it yielded I don't have scales but I got a few jars worth. Its curing now and smells, mangoey, tangy, musky, hazey and there's one particular smell that I cannot describe or really put into words. Sorta lost a bit of it smell to but Ive heard it returns with cureing? Looking better by the day! Reasonably decent for outdoor weed on a shit season that was a Hermie plant and a first ever grow of a random seed It only came out this well because of all the ball pulling and work that went into it though. Also I picked all the seeds out before cureing so its seedless now.

I've heard Jack Herer yielded like fuck back in the 90's, dad reckoned his mate had a 2oz dried bud from it once lol. Even said it was higher yielding than the Afghani we had which is the bigest yielding plant I've had, does he have an older cut or is it from new seed stock?.

Yeah good effort man, got your first successful guerilla grow under your belt. I'm glad you're going with those 2 companies, you'll never look at any other once you've smoked their strains lol. It had a NL added way back because of something to do with seed quality but has been bred to 98% uzbek and he spent 9 generations selecting the uzbeki traits, still a landrace in my eyes and no one has ever found any NL in it.
You'll love it though, it's like a minty lemon perfume smell and smokes REAL smooth off the bat uncured. go pick n mix bro and get a couple different ace/cbg strains, get Orient Express! I reckon it'll be great outside down there. Taskenti would be a freakin monster put out early.

I'm planning on going early next season, what are your plans?. seeds or clones? clones finish off earlier.

Your bud looks algood, pretty frosty and definitely above outdoor average quality that's for sure, well done!. Panama in a glasshouse would produce the best weed you could imagine imo, my favourite strain now. I'll chuck some pics up later of some dried buds.

Aw only a good couple of weeks roughly? Least you got some Panama smoke Bet its potent haha Fuck 2oz dried jack herrer bud damn! Yeah I think hes god an older cut. It seems quite satva influenced and lanky but yields pretty well for the size of them. Amazing to smoke aswell, its a 50/50 sativa - indica and it has haze in it so things can get quite giggly and trippy, with no paranoia. Good socially with mates and shit to. Whats an afghani yeild? They're pure right indica right?

Theres defiantly some id like to try, don't get me wrong but for now Im happy with the panny and tasky. I might order a barneys farm LSD aswell and give that a try, its supposed to be pretty trippy. Its Mazar x skunk#1 and its and indica dom so itl be algood down here Mazar has some afghan in it I think. Oh 98% uzbek is alood. Sounds so tasty, I wanna get her to be a monster indica!

There's lots of different ones but the one I had was a cut straight from the mountains un hybridised or bred with and yielded like a monster lol knew some people that got 35 lbs from 7 plants outside. Had 8 1/2 pound plant inside once. Yeah definitely pure indica, if I were t get another afghani I would definitely get Deep Chunk - low yielding plant that doesn't grow taller than 5', but the resin coverage and purpling are to die for!.
A Malawi x DC would be something to behold.

Hope next seasons weather is better! JH is Skunk #1, Haze and Northern Lights I think with a 55/45 sativa indica ratio. Damn sounds like you had a mean cut of jack Holy fuck 35lb from plants! Monster yields. I like the taste and high of jack I think its just a good all round weed strain. Mmm was just looking at deep chunk buds, they look amazing.

Yeah there are some dutchies that sound alright ae. Some really avergae stuff out there though I reckon. Is the Black domina x g13 an indoors grow at the moment? Yeah you wouldnt think of Mazar x skunk#1 as a trippy strain ae but from the reviews Ive read its supposed to be a vivid, deep and euphoric experience, one that stands out from the typical Indica experience. Supposed to be a real creeper couch locker to but not a large yeilder for an indy The primary parent of today’s LSD marijuana strain is Mazar, named after Mazar-e-Sharif. A name familiar to those vets who have returned home from Afghanistan. A region as notorious for its roadside IED’s, as it is infamous for its indica’s. That was just of the net so who knows. Id say it wouldnt compare to a true pure sativa trippy strain being an indica dom but Ill just have to try here out lol

Wack, is the Vietnamese black gonna be outdoors? Thats a cool story about the war vet, must be a classical Vietnam strain? Me to mate keen for 14/15! Yeah im happy to be doing pure strains,thanks to you saying how great they are. Also another thing is, i don't know weather ive had pure indicas or sativas and when ive been smoking I can have quite a difficult time determining sativa or indica dominant because there are so many hybrids out there these days, so ill be happy trying a pure indica and sativa and working out the different effects of each high.

Yeah thats it man, at least you got something out of it. Same happened here, heaps of rain caused big patches of mould and they couldve gone another 2 weeks at least! Ah well, still got about 160g off the blue og and about 90g off the shark.

Both of them snoke real nicely bro, the blue og tastes very sweet and has a very deep body stone that eventually puts you to sleep. The shark is just a nice mellow stone. They really could've used the extra few weeks to finish off though!

It better be lol, I think this is Tauranga's worst april in history for sunshine hours - only 70 hours this month so far compared to 183 on average!. Na I've never grown JH personally, was talking about the afghani. Deep chunk's a mean breeding tool and a pure open pollinated landrace that i really want.

Mandala is a good one, has his own strains created and collected by himself. Yeah just vegging the Black domina g13 under LED at the moment here's the inside of the plant, shortest stature plant I've had yet.

Yeah Mazar is just an Afghani, I don't like Skunk #1 though. I'd rather the Mazar by itself. Some of those landrace indicas over the Chitrali kush mountains can take you way deeper than any other indica hybrid. It'd be cool to go over there and collect your own strains and try some opium too.

Yeah the OE is going to be outdoors and indoors, the one on the left is the Chinese pheno and I think the right one is more of a Vietnamese pheno by the looks. I think the VB is from the 50's but you can't get it pure only Chinese yunnan x VB and VB x Thai but the OE is higher yielding with shorter flower time. I think most the stuff kiwis smoke would be indica dom indoors and probably a mix of sativa and indica dom for outside. Yeah pure landrace indicas are just as good as sativas for the high because it's so pure and unhybridised.
The OE is a straight up clear headed sativa high I think, I want a high like this because it's so rare these days - notice how no one laughs on weed anymore?.

Yeah you learnt a lot this season so your next will be epic with the strains you're getting and how you're gonna use organic.
I'm going to use the bat guano better next season, have a veg one and bloom one, And shit I'm definitely getting neem granules to stop those asshole vine hoppers! the bastards are still alive!.
