Hey Folks,
A local lighting store has a variety of LEDs on sale. Both bulb and flood types. They have these ones for $25 each which seems to be about the best price anywhere;

I'm new to growing in general and currently am using CFLs, but am worried about heat problems later in the summer as it warms up around here.
So I'm thinking about making a flowering light panel using 4-5 of these. The grow space is a 2x2.5ft cabinet with about 3ft of vertical space work with above the 2 plant DWC container. Here are a couple questions.
1. Lets say I have 4 of these mounted in there, they would be putting out 3,600 lumens at 2700K color temp. Is 3,600 lumens adequate for 2 plants? They have some 3000K ones as well, so I could mix and match for more spectrum?
2. Anybody have a guesstimate of how fay away I'll need to keep the lights from the canopy? I'm concerned that I'll reach my cabinet ceiling too quickly with LEDs vs CFLs since I can keep those 3-6 inches away. I'm referring to the right room in the picture.
Thanks to all you knowledgable and experienced people in advance.
