My main question is not answered though

..........what bridgelux cob product family are they using?? bin #'s?? etc.....

Also don't like the MW CC driver(s) being completely enclosed with NO cooling(obviously to get the ip67 rating)===== they get hot!/shortened lifespan

That's the question I'm waiting on right now. I searched all thru Bridgelux's website and the only match seems to be the Vero29.

Plus the Vero29s can handle some high temps ( past 80c). Any of us using these for growing will most likely remove the glass, helping inside temps.

^^^^^^^^^^^Not a COB gang, that's a multi chip. Could be b-lux dies. That's why you can't tell if it's a Vero, cause it ain't.

Hey P, No Vero or even any good COB uses die that big or that far away from each other. You can barely see the die on a Vero. And if they're running the driver soft enough it doesn't need cooling like you'd excpect.

yeah, was looking around and there are some sweet fixtures in that industrial market, they just get out of hand, if I were going to spend that kind of money I'd go with a sure bet like an Apache AT600 and fuck the chinese. Too bad on those little cob fixtures, the price is right and didn't find any better suppliers, there are some on e-bay but the price shoots through the roof.

I found these, the fixture design looks sweet, but they're on there to make contact only, on Ali their shipping prices are higher than the fixture prices and when I contacted them they said if I ordered 4 pcs. they could ship to Canada for $200??? I like the fixture design, not the technical specs... But again, at that price I'd buy an A51

They were listed at $130.00 for the 150 watt model.I would have put my order in at that price.

If I was going to spend $500+ on a new light then I'd DEFINITELY save up a bit and get the ApacheTech AT200….but my point was to get a cheap light for clones and/or vegging. I have an Area 51 SGS-160 already and I like it a lot….not as much as I would have liked the AT, but a budget is a budget.

tstick- At $130 I doubt it is even 80lm/w, so max 12000 lm. If using high quality, 120 lm/w leds you're at 18000. That adds up quickly. I want to use 600w over a 3'x3' tray or 800w over a 4'x4' tray. The 200w fixtures make multiple fixture coverage very flexible. So, 800 watts @ 80lm/w=64000lm or 120lm/w=96000lm and more reliable. That's more than 2 of those cheaper 150w lights.

For veg/clone on a budget why not buy the cree bulbs at home depot?

sorry to jump on the band wagon, I too was going to post ANOTHER dumb "what LED is for me:" post...guess I am not alone in there being WAY to many choices out there. my issues are I need something for a smaller grow cabinet, affordable of coarse... and efficient...reasonable things to want in a purchase... I just know there is so much crap out there, that I have no way of know what would suit me. 200 is steep to me, that would be max I can spend, for now, is there anything out there that you guys know of that sounds like it may fit my situation?

Very low budget to getting into led's with. For that I would say Cree home depot bulbs all the way. Soft or warm white, 9w versions. Enough of them to have 25w-40w per sqft.

have you heard of the kessil H-350 or the h-150? I have heard good things about them, I probably should had stated that I am only growing in a small cabinet, and 2 plants at a time....I was just hoping someone would suggest another one like these, in this price range, I have heard the are pretty good units, from one guy....so I am just fishing for info....not sure if I like the idea of using more bulb style....idk, those bulbs work just as good as the expensive units? I am currently using cfl, and hate that set up.
